Overall Satisfaction with Miro

We use it for several different things and very dependent on individuals and teams. My main use case for Miro is to visualise idea's and design mock-ups when doing discovery, running different Workshops, team retrospectives, outlining roadmaps etc. I have also explored way of using it together with Jira which is another tool used in our organisation to make the transition smoother

Pros

  • Extremely easy and powerful collaboration platform
  • Quick to get started either with own ideas or with templates
  • integration with Jira

Cons

  • Would be great to have AI Miro to document what is constructed in frames etc
  • Extended library of Wireframes and components
  • Extended templets for ex retrospectives and other scrum cermonies
  • Higher team productivity and collaboration
  • Easier and more efficient way of doing documentation
  • Less software required
It works very well for most things and I use it on a daily basis for almost everything that is required in my Role as a product manager. It has certain GAP's where other tools might be better (Figma for UX, MetroRetro for Retros) , but it is still good enough to limit the software suite required to be efficient and have good collaborations.
I usually start work from a screenshoot or an image and then build up my work around it with basic features like The sticky notes, creating different shapes and using icons. I like the Templates and even if I rarely use them out of the box, I use them for inspiration. I have also explored the AI features a bit and I like the Image generator even that there are room for improvements since results are so so
I have reduced the number of tools we use, mainly because it is becoming more and more common that we use Miro in our organisation so everyone is used to it, but alos because Miro has become better over time and other tools that have been better for a specific purposes have gone from freemium to paid subscription and then it have not been worth the additional investment
Miro basically cover the needs of all the other tools. I started using Miro extensively during the pandemic and at that point only Jamboard provided similar options and was free when collaborating in a bigger group and when not everyone had a license. This is still the main issue, if you have users without a license and want to run a group collaboration

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

Well suited: Any kind of team collaboration, very quick and easy to get started with and easy to understand for must users. A much more efficient whiteboard that has made cross collaboration easy within a organisation
Less well: Tricky to do cross organisation work when some users do not have a license
