Best RMM
Overall Satisfaction with NinjaOne
NinjaOne is our primary means for remote monitoring and management to perform patching and our ability to remotely troubleshoot devices among 40+ clients. It allows us to get detailed asset management reports as well as other reports. We can use it to push new applications and patch other third-party applications beyond the operating system. We like the ability to send alerts on different event log IDs and if the computers are offline.
Pros
- Remote connections
- Patching
- Notifications and alerts
Cons
- Automatic Reporting
- PSA integration with Quickbooks
- Chat without remoting
- Lower cost compared to Datto where we had to buy large blocks
- Ability to remote into Mac and Linux devices have made it easier to manage without going onsite
- Adding MDM increased revenue
We've been able to give our users access to their own machines as well, eliminating their desire to buy GoToMyPC, Logmein, and other tools that were costing them $1000s each year. Our ability to monitor uptime on a site and get to devices improved response time, and using our scripts while users continued to work meant much less downtime for the organizations.
We have alerts for different event IDs in Windows to bring attention when MDR and other tools flag that don't have native integration with the platform. Using webhooks, I've been able to log different events without a SIEM for review with the client.
Mostly patch management, but clean up scripts run automatically to remove temporary files and do an SFC Cleanup. We can also monitor activity outside normal business hours and report that to the leadership of our clients.
- Datto ALTO, Datto Autotask PSA, Datto RMM, Datto SIRIS, Datto SaaS Protection, IT Glue, Cove Data Protection, N-able Passportal, SentinelOne Singularity, Fortinet FortiGate, SonicWall NSA Series, SonicWall TZ, Huntress, Curricula, Rapid7 InsightIDR, Microsoft 365, Microsoft 365 Business Premium, Microsoft Defender for Business and Microsoft SharePoint
We liked the per device pricing and the UI of the platform most when we decided to leave Datto RMM. We believe that NinjaOne's constant development to improve the product has been really helpful. The quality of the community posts with scripts we can use to automate things has been very helpful too.

NinjaOne Feature Ratings
Using NinjaOne
5 - Our techs use NinjaOne to work tickets from our over 600 end points from more than 50 companies. In addition to our techs, however, we have granted end users the ability to use NinjaOne to remote into their own work PCs from home, saving their companies thousands of dollars a year. They like the ability to print and do remote work on the fly.
5 - Aside from the CTO, the help desk staff use NinjaOne. We have some techs who are tier 1, with little IT experience, and we have techs with decades of experience. All find the platform very intuitive, and really enjoy being able to control Active Directory without remoting into different domain controllers.
- Remote Assistance
- Patch Management
- Asset Management
- Allowing end users the ability to remote
- With a PowerShell script and the ability to add custom fields, vulnerability management
- Active Directory management
- Looking to create PowerShell scripts to apply NIST controls where possible
- Pulling logs of sign ins
- Automating disk cleanups
