Overall Satisfaction with Optimizely

We run a couple hundred of tests a year around a large portfolio of websites. We use it for all site optimization issues.
  • Easy to teach
  • Portable
  • Awful statistics
  • Poor user interface
  • Conversion has a huge investment, Optimizely is a means to that end
  • Decent speed to test live
Optimizely is ok and cost effective compared to other tools. In general the industry keeps lowering the value of tools as they broaden the audience.
It's a decent tool for a medium sized company that wants a more plug and play client site optimization tool.

Using Optimizely

Basic features are ok, but it's designed for people who don't know what they are doing and if you want to use it correctly requires a lot of outside the tool tracking/usage.

Optimizely Reliability

Easy to add to sites, easy to deploy with a tag manager, easy to train. Doesn't have a ton of massive negative interactions.
