Overall Satisfaction with Paycom

I am the HR Generalist for a company of 300+ that utilizes Paycom on a daily basis for all our HR and Payroll needs. We use almost all of the available modules, including HR, Time Management, and Talent Acquisition. Each of the interfaces of the modules with the others, allowing for a seamless HR and Payroll system. The struggle of remote onboarding for new employees is easily solved with this system by allowing companies to have all the pre-hire documentation completed prior to the first day of employment!

The company I worked for only used the time and attendance feature, and at my current company, we don't use the scheduling module. I do know that prior to my employment with the company where I currently use Paycom, they were a prior ADP user and my colleagues have stated that the Paycom platform better suits our company's needs.

Paycom is very well suited for your entire HR and Payroll processes. Changes that are made to benefits are seamlessly transferred to payroll so only one entry is necessary, rather than two which can lead to data entry errors. Onboarding and reduction in paper processes are probably some of the things I like most about the Paycom platform. Being able to focus on more critical issues rather than shuffling paper is a huge advantage to using Paycom. It helps us reduce our paper costs, thus helping our company be greener in nature.

Paper files are fortunately a thing of the past - I love not having the paper clutter my desk! We moved from endless file cabinets, folder and paper documents to an easy to use paperless web-based system that I can access anywhere as long as I have internet access. It make working remotely a breeze---
The implementation process had already been completed when I started working for my current employer. I needed ALOT of assistance when I first started with the platform. The support I received both by phone and in the available online tutorials and webinars were exceptional. Our current Executive Client Relations Representative has also been a huge help in streamlining our processes and is ALWAYS willing to jump in to assist with an issue we may have difficulty resolving on our own.
Having the iPhone and Android versions of the app on our employees phones has made a world of difference in having them take control of their benefits and payroll. They can easily make changes to their address, W-4, direct deposits, benefit qualifying events and view all the documents that they have signed all in one easily accessible application at their fingertips.

Using Paycom

330 - Employees, first line supervisors and managers, payroll administrator, HR administrators, mid-level managers, department directors and senior level management (through prewritten and Advance Report Writing reports).
10 - Our training department uses Paycom to build and maintain job related training courses. Our Payroll Administrator answers all pay related questions and issues relating to our employees checks, including commissions, regular and overtime hours, vacation pay and any other payroll items. Our HR Generalists assist with all other Paycom related issues/question and support over 300 employees.

The system meets all of our current needs. We used another product before and switched to Paycom about 8 years ago. Implementation is a huge undertaking - one we are not likely to want or need to go through in the near future.

Evaluating Paycom and Competitors

Yes - ADP - it was no longer meeting our needs, especially regarding reporting. Also, the customer support was less than desirable.

Integration with our other systems was a very important factor, along with reporting capabilities. We have file feeds for our benefits carriers which take a huge burden off of our HR department.
I was not a part of the evaluation or selection process - it was implemented right before I started with the company.

Paycom Support

Support from Paycom is very good. First of all you have a dedicated specialist to contact regarding and questions. They have teams of specialists so that if your dedicated specialist is not available you are routed to someone on the team. This helps enable thorough follow through and follow up on open items.

Yes, we have utilized their Benefits Enrollment Specialists to assist with Open Enrollment. It is a great enhanced premium support product that takes the guesswork out of setting up the plans offered by our company. Open Enrollment is an enormous undertaking in addition to regular HR duties and this streamlines this process. Definitely worth the extra money!

Yes - It works very well. We are in the midst of Open Enrollment and 90% of employees complete this using a mobile device.
