Overall Satisfaction with Paycom
As an Analyst for a Benefits broker, I assist clients who utilize Paycom as their HRIS/Benefits Administration platform for monitoring enrollments, onboarding, and census reporting. It can help with auditing and forecasting for the client's budget. I use it daily for our company's biggest client.
Pros
- Advanced Report Writer tool has customizable and robust dataset to work with.
- User-Friendly interface for facilitating the employee self-service needs.
- Provides a macro-level view of management metrics, such as salary expenses, headcount, and turnover.
Cons
- Navigation issues due to the over-extensive feature set.
- Pervasive layout of the standard reports often needs tedious customization.
- Can be ideal option for larger clients, but not cost-effective for smaller businesses.
- Can help simplify and automate processes such as benefits enrollment and payroll, leading to reduced time spent on manual tasks.
- Automating payroll tasks and reducing off-cycle checks can lead to significant savings.
- Features like E-Verify can help streamline onboarding and ensure compliance.
- Over-complex navigation due to extensive features can be tedious, and the model's learning curve can reduce efficiency at times.
- Implementation complexity deters ease of usability.
This unified approach aims to improve data accuracy, streamline workflows, enhance the employee experience, and ultimately provide a better ROI. However, a single software can have drawbacks, as too much detail can be stuffed into a single database that would be clearly defined across multiple databases.
By automating routine tasks and ensuring seamless data flow, Paycom aims to eliminate common roadblocks and enhance overall operational efficiency. Still, in my experience, the previously noted navigation complexities and tedious report customizations can often make the system less user-friendly and seamless at times, adversely affecting efficiency.
ADP Workflow, Paylocity, BambooHR, Worklio - Paycom has a superior feature set and reporting tools. Rippling, Gusto, PlanSource - Paycom is less preferred due to its overly complex feature set.
