Overall Satisfaction with Paylocity

We use Paylocity for payroll, onboarding, learning, employee reviews, and our general HRIS system. We are primarily focused on onboarding and payroll, as those modules are touched the most in the organization. The onboarding process specifically has been significantly improved since we moved it inside of Paylocity. Our IT team uses JumpCloud to set up and manage all of our computers, and Jumpcloud integrates nicely with Paylocity, which helps tremendously.

I don't feel as though we're taking full advantage of Paylocity's automation tools at this time. Our onboarding process is in a good place, but we need to further build out the annual review and employee performance management sections. Also, we need to take advantage of the succession planning and other retention tools that we have access to.
We are just starting to prioritize Community and have had a great response from our employees on that initiative. Community allows us to create multiple groups for different purposes and disperse important information in a timely manner. Peer recognition is probably the next initiative up for us. We want to fully leverage all of the employee retention tools that Paylocity offers.
I would say Paylocity is probably the second of the four platforms referenced. ADP would still be my favorite because I felt the most comfortable on that platform. I felt like information was easier to get to (fewer mouse clicks) and that it was slightly more efficient. However, Paylocity is significantly better than Insperity Time star. It's also slightly better than Paycom, but at a much better price.

Would you buy Paylocity again?

Yes

Paylocity would be good for any mid to large-size company. It's an enterprise-level solution without being as clunky and hard to navigate as enterprise-level solutions usually are. I don't think Paylocity would be good for a small company. The cost would be burdensome when a small company doesn't need access to all of these features just yet (most likely).
