Overall Satisfaction with Paylocity
I use Paylocity for everything HR related. It is my HRIS, my LMS, my performance management system, and my time and labor system. I run reports out of it and process payroll. I also use the Community to engage employees. Paylocity also administers my Spending Accounts and Cobra.
- Paylocity is a great tool for employees. The platform is user-friendly online as well as on their mobile app.
- It is very easy to manage employee events in Paylocity. I love having everything in one place.
- The reason I chose Paylocity over Paycom was their ability to integrate with other systems. When a change happens in Navigate, it automatically updates in Paylocity and vice versa. I also enjoy that with multiple other integrations, including the 401(k) management and background checks for new employees.
- They could do better with their local taxes. When we chose to go with Paylocity, we were told you completely manage all the taxes. That is not true. It is also difficult to connect to anyone in the tax department to resolve issues or get answers to questions. Everything has to go through our Account Manager, and sometimes things are time-sensitive.
- I wish the ad hoc reporting was more customizable.
- It is difficult for us to determine what transactions hit our bank account. An itemized report would be helpful from a G/L standpoint.
- I love the Community, but recently you added department groups. I have one direct report, and I make company announcements all the time in the Community. Many times, my one employee is the only one that sees them because I forget to change the audience. It would be nice for each individual to be able to set their default audience for posts.
- The Spending Accounts administration has not been as smooth as I had hoped for. There are always discrepancies that we have to manage. It would be great if it were more integrated with Payroll.
- I wish there were more carrier integration with Colonial Life, UNUM, and Identity Guard. Keep working on those integrations!
- I'm always hoping all the Cobra notifications are going out. Since it is a separate system, I don't always know. Even when I log into that system, I don't see all the notifications I should be seeing. I don't think they are sending everything they are supposed to send. My trust is low with this. Please integrate it better!
- The individual goals in the performance review system are a little odd. During a review, they should set goals for the next period. Those should be listed in the review. Then the goals from the prior period should be rated and included in the review form. These do not work well together.
- I love where you're going with the Employee Handbook, but we should be able to upload our own handbook into Paylocity as something other than just a document on their employee portal. Let's customize that.
- How about you create a dashboard that captures all the tasks from the various modules that require our attention in one place?
- Also, on the Workforce tool, include the number of employees in each state.
- It has saved me time. I have not done an ROI on that, but I no longer track turnover manually or create org charts manually.
Again, they have saved me a lot of time, allowing me to do other things. It also gives easy access to high-level information for senior management reporting.
I would love to have access to the videos, but it doesn't look like I do have that access. I really enjoy the Community and Impressions. It's nice to see employees recognizing other employees. We have a drawing at the end of each month and give out a gift card to one of those that were recognized or one of the employees that did the recognition to encourage that type of behavior.
I love the features available in Paylocity. I enjoy the integration with other tools and resources that I need.
