Overall Satisfaction with Procore

We use Procore to manage submittals, drawings, write and send POs and subcontracts on all of our current projects. We also utilize the bidding tool to distribute drawings and specs to our vendors for potential new projects. Workflow seems much smoother with Procore than before. I don't have to remember to send an email to follow up as Procore can do that for me. I also get notifications when someone updates their response to a submittal which is also helpful. Managing our POs and Subcontracts seems a little simpler as well.
  • Project Management Tool is easy to use or modify. Actually all of the tools we are currently using are easy to use, or modify or "figure out" when there are questions.
  • Customer Support - whether live chat of email, they are quick to respond and work through any issues with you until you get what you need. If they can't help, they will put it to another level to make sure you are getting the support you need.
  • On the budget, having man weeks instead of a lump sum for labor would be useful for our company.
  • Having our Procore "talk" to another company's Procore will be a bonus instead of the upload and download and re-upload that we are doing now.
  • Sharing documents with the field is better - live, they don't have to wait for paper updates.
  • Project management is able to update some functions that we had to wait for in the past.
ERP Integrations - As we learn they have both helped and hindered the flow, but it is a learning process and Procore support is great.
I don't enter daily logs, but some of the field staff do, we need to be more proactive with getting all field members to enter daily logs. Based on what I have seen it is more informative for us in the office to have the daily logs filled in.
Procore is much easier to use and can integrate accounting features as well without having to open a different system. You can document share, use accounting functions, send updates to the field, have closing documents, etc all in one place, where SharePoint you couldn't do all of this.
Well Suited: Project Management, Submittal workflow
Less Appropriate: unsure at this time

There is so much to learn and what we are using now is very helpful both inside the office and out in the field

Evaluating Procore and Competitors

Yes - SharePoint
There were functions that could not happen within SharePoint without having to spend quite a bit more money (From what I've been told)
  • Product Features
  • Product Usability
  • Product Reputation
Usability both in office and field to share information was very important

Procore Implementation

Instead of focusing on a tool, make sure the users are able to ask questions, even if it about last weeks tool learning.....
Yes - I would have to look back at our Procore Implementation plan, I believe it was by tools
Change management was a minor issue with the implementation - We are still working on this one

Procore Support

20-30 second response via chat and quick response via email support requests. Plus follow up if needed. Support people will also reach out to other people if they don't have the answer you are looking for. They are super great!!
ProsCons
Quick Resolution
Good followup
Knowledgeable team
Problems get solved
Kept well informed
No escalation required
Immediate help available
Support understands my problem
Support cares about my success
Quick Initial Response
None
When I was having an issue with Change Management, I spoke at great length with a support person on the phone. Not only was the customer support amazing, but the personality of the person that I dealt with was phenomenal!! She was easy to talk to and understood what I needed, and even joked around a little with me, instead of keeping it all "business" she made it more personal.

Using Procore

I have non "techie" guys in the field who are using Procore on a regular basis and look to Procore for the updated information they need. Instead of phone calls they are able to get what they need right off most of the time.
ProsCons
Like to use
Relatively simple
Easy to use
Technical support not required
Well integrated
Consistent
Quick to learn
Convenient
Feel confident using
None
  • Drawings Tool
  • Submittal Tool
  • Accounting tools (ERP to Sage integrations seem to get the most "Hiccups")
Yes - AMAZING
There are a few missing pieces from the mobile app that would be helpful for the project managers to have access to.
