Overall Satisfaction with QuickBooks Online
We are a SAAS business that uses QuickBooks Online for our accounting. It allows us flexibility with how we charge our customers and also streamlines how those products flow into our charter of accounts for reporting. We've also used the invoicing tool to collect credit card payments for our smaller customers, and it also allows us to auto invoice them based on custom payment plans.
Pros
- Invoicing & Scheduling Payment plans
- Expense reporting
- Payroll for salaried employees
- Financial Reporting although it is generic and not SAAS based
Cons
- SAAS based revenue reporting
- Different payment collection options such as ACH for CAD - US transfer
- Subscription based pricing and ability to auto charge customers on renewal.
- Saved about 4 hours per week on expense management and tracking
- Allows us to easily pull profit and loss reports for financial reporting
- Saves us about 5 hours a month in financial management vs spreadsheets
- Xero and Sage Accounting
Easier to use and setup. More accountants are familiar with it so that also made the selection easier. Other software was also more expensive and had features that we weren't going to utilize at our current growth stage.
