Overall Satisfaction with Rubrik

Rubrik is being used organization-wide. It helps us with backup deliverables for our critical and major systems. It is also used for disaster recovery for our virtual machine servers. Knowing that we are secure, and have a backup, makes us sleep better at night.

The company is going through a digital transformation. We are transitioning from the typical tape method to doing backups with Rubrik and archiving it to the cloud thru AWS.

  • Monitoring.
  • GUI design and functionality.
  • Solaris backup.
  • Longer SLA retention rather than just 999 days.
  • Provides an archive of business-critical applications within our organization.
  • Fast recovery of corrupted virtual machines.
  • Easy and very understandable platform.
ComVault and Dell NetWorker. We liked Rubrik better.
It depends on the size of the backup but on our case it saved us around 75% our backup time frame from previous solution we had.
It easy to use and understand. A little reading from the manual, exploration (but with precaution) and support to understand the details of the solution.

It is a well-curated technology that caters to the needs of some industries and companies who are looking for an easy to use, understandable and manageable platform. It is well suited for almost any industry. Support is fast and the customer relationship is great. The level of support and troubleshooting are the best.

Because its a no braining for the organization. It saves us cost and gives us tremendous return in terms of it purpose.

How fast and reliable the solution is in performing backup.
I would say it would still be the same process. We were mostly keen on the superiority of the technology from the products we were choosing.

Rubrik Implementation

From experience the implementation was smooth and easy, like a simple plug and play format but would need coordination from your network team to be able to see the entire IT infrastructure.

Change management was minimal - not quite sure from the change management side.

Rubrik Support

Based on my experience and user journey. support is fast based on how you set your priority level of the issue. Support seems to have a right tool to support its customer. In my experience no issues was left unturned from the support.

When I have a UI issues where I can't recover and see my backups. International support, local support and even head of support jumped in and helped us t resolve the issue.
