Overall Satisfaction with TriNet

Using TriNet as our PEO has definitely been helpful in that we do not have to be concerned about compliance, as they handle that all for us. With employees across multiple states, including California, it's nice to know that we are properly set up and compliant in all states in which we operate. It's also nice to have all HR systems in one place: payroll, benefits, etc.

The platform is very easy to navigate. The UI is simple and it's generally easy to find what you're looking for.
Support is easy to access via phone, chat, or email. You can always check on the status of your cases in the platform. However, their first tier of support is not always the most knowledgeable on complex subjects, and some of their teams (e.g., the tax team) does not have a way to be contacted for immediate support so you have to send an email. Recently, I submitted a case to the tax team and was told turnaround response time is 5-17 business days, which is egregious.
TriNet offers a comprehensive platform for a very fair price. Their insurance offerings are superior to many other PEOs.

From an employee POV, TriNet is easy to navigate. Enrolling in benefits, viewing paychecks, submitting PTO, etc is all very easy to do and it's nice to have all HRIS functionality in one place. They also have comprehensive support via chat and phone. You can track case submissions in their platform. As an admin, it's very easy to create and compare benefits funding strategies during open enrollment time - something that is historically complex is really almost a breeze with TriNet! However, from an admin perspective, support can be lacking. It can often take way too long to get responses back on more complex questions or concerns, though for quick one-off issues that don't require much follow up, their chat and phone support are generally pretty helpful.
