ActiveCampaign

ActiveCampaign works well for onboarding, deadline countdowns, informational emails, and marketing. I think that ActiveCampaign could improve it's one-to-one sales email options to really be an all in one solution with it's CRM.

Prosperworks is 100% best used if you are a G Suite customer. In my opinion, if you use G Suite as a company then you should use Prosperworks as your CRM. The only exception to that is if you have other programs that heavily tie into reporting features of SFDC. However if you're just looking for a solid CRM to track all your notes, activity, collaborate with your team, and run activity reports - ProsperWorks is a pleasure to use and will not disappoint.

Cons

  • One-to-one email automation (all automations have unsubscribe / impersonal req'd fields)
  • Sometimes the Chrome plugin does not work properly.
  • The email builder could use improvement on the UX end.

  • My biggest moan comes from when I wanted to work down a list of leads alphabetically and unless you open the contact in a separate window, you lose your place when you return to the contact list (ie starts back at "a").

Overall the support for ProsperWorks CRM is OK. When I get hold of my reps they are pretty knowledgeable and usually solve my problems. When I first started using the software they were a lot harder to get hold of so this has improved. My biggest complaint though is that my feature requests seem to go into a black hole, I never hear the status of them and I have no idea if they have even been passed on.

Alternatives Considered

Backend user experience is much more streamlined and robust than AWeber. AWeber also triggers weird spam wall blocks occasionally when integrating with other system’s automated forms. MailChimp simply doesn’t have the features I need.

It is a very powerful tool to the level of Sugar and Salesforce. With its tight integration, as a Google product, it is seamless and really assists in managing communication with clients. While Zoho offers a great low-cost solution, ProsperWorks definitely hits the mark for SMB. If you are looking at a CRM you should give ProsperWorks a good look as we were very pleased that we didn't go with HubSpot and moved to Prosper as they didn't nickel and dime for basic functions. Free is good, until you realize it is not free at all (HubSpot).

Return on Investment

  • ActiveCampaign is the base of our marketing communications operations. So all the leads that we generate and nurture go through ActiveCampaign, which means most of not all of our revenue directly or indirectly is related to ActiveCampaign. It helps us operate and grow the business.
  • It helps us provide more personalized experience for new leads as well as our existing customers.
  • It makes communication more efficient, especially with the Gmail integration.

  • I cant quote hard numbers here as it's only been a few months
  • I am training a brand new agent/ staff member with little business or office experience and she has mastered it quickly
