Considered Both Products
Bloomreach
Chose Bloomreach
Bloomreach is the first product of this type that ive used so i cant compare it to other platforms.
Chose Bloomreach
It was not my direct decision but rather a business one, but I can say that compared to Klaviyo, Bloomreach makes it much easier to manage multi-language campaigns.
Chose Bloomreach
Bloomreach provides a better overview of all of the systems that we use
Chose Bloomreach
Much stronger and more relevant results.
Chose Bloomreach
Back then it was more advanced solution than Emarsys and far more cheaper and easier to work on that Salesforce offers. Basically, what I understood then, We would need to buy 2 different solution from salesforce to be comparable to bloomreach.
Chose Bloomreach
Bloomreach is the first true CDP that integrates all customer data that I have used, but previously I have used other CRM/email marketing tools as outlined above. We chose Bloomreach because of its ability to work with so much complex offline data, and the ability to create …
Chose Bloomreach
Easier to use, more advanced & better for cross channel marketing.
Chose Bloomreach
There is a lot more capability with Bloomreach - The Agentic Platform for Personalization.
Chose Bloomreach
Not just an email platform. Bloomreach - The Agentic Platform for Personalization offer much much more in terms of how to target customers both on and offline. With endless ways to set up customer journeys and serve to customers. Making it a crucial part of our business and how …
Chose Bloomreach
Bloomreach has been around in this company since 2016 and will still be. It has become the core concept repository / library. Other alternatives that have been considered in the part were discarded because with our current platform we have quick delivery, good performance and a …
Chose Bloomreach
Bloomreach has it all in one package - and for retailers with many products and many markets you'll find that Bloomreach makes it easy to get an overview over performance for each country, and the email editor is a great tool for multi-language customers. Especially the newest …
Chose Bloomreach
HubSpot CRM, Contentful and Twilio SendGrid
Chose Bloomreach
The support was much stronger and the sales process far more straightforward.

We moved from Emarsys which was a poor platform
Chose Bloomreach
Way more user-friendly, feature-heavy and fitting into our overall business and customer goals.
Chose Bloomreach
A leader and very customisable solution
Chose Bloomreach
We selected Bloomreach - The Agentic Platform for Personalization because it offers a powerful combination of automation, personalisation and analytics all within one platform.
Chose Bloomreach
Each one has its good and bad things. The change to Bloomreach was made because of its supposed ease of use in our case and it has been a success, but it is not perfect for us since for that something very specific would be necessary, as if you were ours.
Chose Bloomreach
From working almost 4 years with Klaviyo we started noticing many discrepancies on the analytics side, and also on the user experience we were providing with the product recommendations that did not performed the way we expected. Bloomreach - The Agentic Platform for …
Chose Bloomreach
Bloomreach is a step above the other CRM tools I have experienced. The amount of customization at your fingertips feels limitless. The trade-off is the gradual learning curve. This is not an entry-level tool — It takes some time to learn how to get what you want out of it.
Chose Bloomreach
Bloomreach - The Agentic Platform for Personalization is doing a lot of great work with GenAI and ML Model development which is something very special in a CDP offering. It also does marketing automation and A/b testing which lot of vendors have their own instead of having all …
Chose Bloomreach
I've selected Bloomreach cause it has Omnichannel orchestration and CDP in one.
Umbraco CMS
Chose Umbraco CMS
We preferred Umbraco because it is built with .NET, and most of our team members have proficiency in .NET. Umbraco is open-source so it was free, we could deploy it anywhere - on-premise or cloud. Umbraco had all features which we needed - SEO support, multi-lingual support, …
Chose Umbraco CMS
Someone else selected before I came on board but I was open-minded and willing to give it a try.
Chose Umbraco CMS
The performance of Umbraco is as good as Episerver. The back office in Umbraco is cleaner and more intuitive than Episerver. Sitecore is a good CMS for large projects, but the learning curve for developers and editors is steep.
Chose Umbraco CMS
Umbraco's templating is far superior than WordPress, Drupal and Joomla, but it's update process is WAY behind those platforms. The release schedule of Umbraco is way to often and most releases are to fix something missed in the previous release and not an improvement or new …
Chose Umbraco CMS
  • The learning curve to develop a web application is very short. The time to market is then insignificant.
  • Umbraco is free and open source.
Chose Umbraco CMS
We chose Umbraco because of their technology, and it was better than our previous CMS, Orchard, which was too complicated even for programmers. Orchard was very good but to develop something it required a really strong knowledge of this framework. In Umbraco it seems to be …
Chose Umbraco CMS
We previously used Wordpress, however this was not easy to use, it was a complicated system and was limited in what we could achieve, there was a big outlay in buying bolts on and ensuring the system was safe. We found we where spammed loads, we tried to make it work however …
Chose Umbraco CMS
Both are comparable. We selected Umbraco CMS because it used .NET instead of PHP. I would recommend choosing the CMS that your staff and technical people will be the most comfortable with.
Chose Umbraco CMS
Umbraco provides the best bang-for-the-buck CMS option on a .NET platform for those that cannot afford Sitecore. It is much friendlier to use than Ektron, is free to use, has commercial grade plugins that are not overly expensive, and provides the functionality that most …
Chose Umbraco CMS
Umbraco vs WordPress
Umbraco has more flexibility and customization options, but less features, reliability/stability, and community support.
WordPress offers less customization for data and content, but it is immensely more stable, has better features /plugins, and includes an …
Chose Umbraco CMS
There is not really an alternative when it comes to CMS based on ASP.Net (MVC4 with Razor). There are a few frameworks, like Booststrap; however framework is not content management system.
I will compare it to Drupal, because the second one is well known. Against Drupal, …

They've just been a great partner to work with. They put forth 100% when bringing platforms to the merchant and were highly prepared and knowledgeable during the sales cycle and implementation, and remained very connected post-implementation to ensure client success with the platform. Their CEO is always eager to sit down, talk shop, and listen to clients' needs, and you can tell from his enthusiasm that he cares about making this company the best in class.

Umbraco is well suited for websites that are looking to do a wide range of activities that require complex technoligies. An example of this is a company with several different products or services. Umbraco would be overkill for simple sites that are mostly static. It is also difficult to find developers who have Umbraco experience, as it's market share is not all that high

Pros
  • The product recommendations engine allows for us to create a personalised experience for every customer across the 3m emails we send each month. This ensure that our customers remain connected to our brand.
  • The customer data platform attached to Bloomreach Composable Personalization Cloud provides an all-in-one solution for our business intelligence needs. Allowing up-to-date purchasing, behaviour, and engagement reporting from our email to website activity.
  • The ability to integrate with Meta and other paid ad formats allows for us to create a connected omnichannel experience for users, ensuring we are providing the right message, to the right person, at the right time, in the right place.

  • Quick to learn. For most if cases, developer needs to know Razor coding.
  • Doesn't require back-end programming.
  • Has build in users management (developers, content managers) and members management consoles (users of the site).
  • Clear admin tool (especially in version 7)
  • Fast.
  • Creating code from scratch, so it is easier to create clean code.

Cons
  • Could improve some of the dashboarding to make reporting on emails more time efficient
  • Could offer a way to easily combine email templates if they already exist separately
  • A way to allow multiple people to work in a scenario at the same time and all saves be registered

  • Migration of data between servers. There are tools that you can pay for that help facilitate this, but like any CMS system, there are still some tricks to getting it to work correctly.
  • Running as a Web Project instead of a Web Site. Umbraco does not run compiled code, but instead compiles it on the fly. I find this to cause some performance issues that would otherwise be resolved with a compiled code base.

Usability
In my time working with Bloomreach Commerce Experience Cloud, I always liked to work with it. It is crucial that you get support from experts from the beginning to show you how to work with the vast amount of options and activities to choose from. The learning curve is also well-rounded because of its user-friendly interface and highly skilled customer support.

Umbraco CMS effectively addresses enterprise content management needs. It's quite mature .NET based CMS, standing out as a leader among its competitors. Websites built with Umbraco are blazing fast. Extensive customization capabilities, and user-friendly content publishing interface makes it an ideal choice for businesses looking for a mature CMS solution.

Reliability and Availability
The platform is generally reliable - major outages are rare and most day-to-day campaign operations run without interruption. Where it dips: occasional slowdowns in the analytics dashboard during peak loads, and sometimes scenario executions get delayed without clear explanation. The real-time event processing is mostly solids. Overall uptime is strong - it is not something that keeps me up at night, but it is not flawless either.

ten out of ten, Bloomreach has revolutionised our marketing capabilities. It has allowed us to get real time data insights from our customers, and then put these into action. Previously it would be a very time consuming and slow process for us to get any sort of campaign out but not anymore, this has lead to increased conversions and revenue

Working in the admin panel (adding / reviewing / editing content) is very slow. The public facing site speed is dependent on what the pages are doing and how well the code was written (whether it is optimized for speed).

Support Rating
The project team consistently delivers excellent collaboration and is always available whenever assistance is needed. Their responsiveness and commitment make working together smooth and efficient. Bloomreach support, which is included for free in the platform, can also be quite useful, especially for quick clarifications. However, the quality and speed of their responses can sometimes vary, depending on the issue.

Bloomreach is the first true CDP that integrates all customer data that I have used, but previously I have used other CRM/email marketing tools as outlined above. We chose Bloomreach because of its ability to work with so much complex offline data, and the ability to create personalised scenarios based on very specific business needs. This is something none of the other tools could do nearly as well as Bloomreach.

We previously used WordPress, however this was not easy to use, it was a complicated system and was limited in what we could achieve, there was a big outlay in buying bolts on and ensuring the system was safe. We found we where spammed loads, we tried to make it work however after a year we decided to leave WordPress behind. The company did evaluated Adobe but the dev team decided that Umbraco was the best tool to meet our own needs.

Scalability
there is an option of multiple projects per organisation, customers and assets can be copied across. Multiple sites can be managed in one project, different activities organized under initiatives. Splitting work into sensible units is therefore well possible. The billing is based on number of tracked and number of stored events, no package-based deals. It should therefore be well scalable from a small e-store to a large corporation.
