TeamViewer

TeamViewer is a great and easy solution when we need to request support or give access to a remote user. The remote user must install the client and be provided with a code (and a password if the option is chosen) to access.The remote user can request to take over and we can still see and monitor all what is being done.I would recommend TeamViewer as a great solution when support is needed and you need to request the support.Meanwhile, the software is also well suited to provide unattended access to remote machines, where IT department can control users machines if needed.

  • Professional Live Interface - One of the reasons we chose ClickMeeting was how professional it looked from the viewer's experience. Our client is very small, but the interface makes them look like a top-notch firm to viewers.
  • Customization - Our client didn't have to forego their brand for a service, they were able to make it work for them. Also ties in with my point above.
  • Easy Event Creation - Takes no time at all to plan/schedule an event or meeting.

TeamViewer

  • TeamViewer maintains a highly stable quality as far as video is concerned, as this is not lost even if the connection is poor, even if the image may freeze. This quality is generally in HD 4k depending on the platform's previous settings, or in any case, by default by the service.
  • TeamViewer organizes the maintenance sessions so well that it is not really necessary to separate them in order to work on any of them specifically. This is very useful if you need to quickly get the file within a single session and sessions of other categories are involved.
  • TeamViewer maintains a good catalog of templates for maintenance sessions, which would be useful in case you do not have enough knowledge in running the service, as these templates, despite being relatively limiting simple, meet the necessary features to cover a stable maintenance.
  • Teamviewer provides a unique customer service among remote maintenance service development companies, with quick solutions that make our maintenance work not only as optimized as possible, but also as technically interesting as possible, presenting us with new ways of working within the platform that we were not previously familiar with.
  • Using teamviewer's configuration options has been one of the most comfortable activities of our entire work management, because with the entire structure that keeps the software running, we can easily compensate for all incidents that occur during maintenance sessions and make sure that they do not happen again in the future.

Cons

  • As with most new software, ClickMeeting did create a learning curve for many of the employees - thus training was necessary.
  • Our company is contracted by the Federal Government, thus a lot of our information needs to be kept private. Some of our high-level management have noticed that ClickMeeting only provides 128-bit AES encryption, which we feel can be improved upon.
  • Some of our remote users have found that ClickMeeting has some lag-time when using it on their android devices.

  • TeamViewer chats cannot be scheduled as a group.
  • No remote configuration methods for cell phones are available
  • Lacks many collaboration oriented tools, such as a brainstorming collection system -No scheduling of any kind for group chats.
  • Cannot schedule any kind of activities once the sessions are over.

As long as I continue to provide remote support for my clients, it's a no brainier. For what I pay out, I probably make it back tenfold in the ability to provide remote support from wherever and whenever. Not to mention the saved gas money for a fix that only takes 5 minutes but it takes you 20 minutes to get there. As my business continues to grow, and I support more and more clients, my need for TeamViewer will only grow.

I do not have complaints with the product. In fact, TeamViewer is used by some of our support companies (tech support, accounting, software, etc.), and it performs well. It is simply more product than we needed in our application, and more money than we can justify budgeting.

I have not needed to contact TeamViewer support much in regards to the software not performing like it is supposed to. The only reason that we contact support is to get the license keys for our updated software. We always get a response in a very reasonable amount of time with the new license keys included.

I have never used the online training either. I have watched a few informational videos that were helpful when learning how to do a specific procedure within TeamViewer and get the most out of the software by utilizing one of the many features that are available with the software. Again, 5 if for neutral.

Vimeo is the closest competitor to our organization. Vimeo hosts our online video library and luckily, it communicates with ClickMeeting well. If the demand for live webinars no longer existed, Vimeo would be next in line. However, at this time ClickMeeting remains our #1 due to integration, ease of access and design.

Many times while using ConnectWise Control I can't find users laptops, the user has to reboot a few times or restart services which can be a tough task if the user is not very tech savy. TeamViewer's connection using ID and password makes it easy and comfortable to the user to establish a session and have us help them.

  • It was an affordable software for what it delivered. We would have kept using it if the webinars had worked to drive business, or if we'd been able to drive more people to the webinars. Not ClickMeeting's fault. Great return on the investment in my mind.
