ZoomInfo Operations
Chose ZoomInfo Operations
EverString's platform is very user-friendly, and the CRM Fit Model is unique to any alternatives, which is why I like EverString the best!
Chose ZoomInfo Operations
All technology has its positives and negatives - EverString is mainly used for its ability to give better data enrichment capabilities.
Chose ZoomInfo Operations
I personally would never have chosen EverString had I been a part of the decisionmaking process. Clearbit is a much better platform for the same type of information, and Hoovers has more accurate account-level information.
Chose ZoomInfo Operations
We still have ZoomInfo and hoovers, but where EverString wins is that its a live connected to our CRM that updates monthly & its a multi database vs a single that constantly learns and gets better.

Dun & Bradstreet
Prospecting corporate accounts near a hotel location. Our sales manager wants to generate a list of companies within a 5 mile radius that may need regular lodging for employees or contractors. D&B Hoovers will allow her to filer by geography, industry, company size and employee count. Then she can view detailed company profiles and contact decision-makers.

ZoomInfo
ZoomInfo Operations is very well suited for bulk record updates, list imports, and record ownership assignments and reassignments. The intuitive user interface makes it easy to explore as many scenarios as possible to use the platform. The platform is extremely powerful as well - the volume of scheduled/automated bulk updates that we have running hourly and daily has never seemed to cause any issues with the system. All expected tasks are completed every time, and if any records couldn't be updated, the system does a great job of highlighting those errors for you. Based on my experience, scenarios that would be less appropriate include automated enrichment, specifically for contacts who may have moved to another company. Also, they need to keep up with Salesforce capabilities regarding what objects can be added as Campaign Members - we have to come up with a workaround when we want to add Accounts to campaigns.

Pros
Dun & Bradstreet
  • The D&B Hoovers platform enables our team to customize, giving us the ability to fine-tune our searches
  • D&B Hoovers integrates very well Salesforce, our CRM system, streamlining the workflows of sales teams and ensuring the verified transfer of data between platforms
  • D&B Hoovers provides highly accurate and reliable business data

  • EverString allows us to build account lists based off in-depth firmographic or technographic data. It's far more accurate than trying to build these lists any other way.
  • EverString is fast. Where it might've previously taken us weeks to build lists of this quality, we now can build them in a matter of minutes (and have them ready to be published in a couple of hours).

Cons
Dun & Bradstreet
  • I think maybe if they vetted the contacts that they're providing for those companies, it would be beneficial because I do use other avenues to vet the contacts because a lot of times I found that it is outdated information in D&B Hoovers, so that would be beneficial to us.

  • Lower pricing tier, some other zoom products have freemium versions which would be nice
  • Faster import/export time for data, depending on the size of the data, it may take close to more than a few minutes.
  • Merging data does not always report 100% of data merged.

I use D&B Hoovers very frequently and could not do my job as efficiently without it. I think there is room for improvement, but it is effective enough that I feel as though I will continue renewing by subscription. I highly recommend D&B Hoovers and find it very accurate and easy to use.

I give this rating because I feel that ZoomInfo has made our work easier and smoother than before. Like now we manage our sales leads, new engagements, easily, and the data we get from ZoomInfo helps us a lot to move in the right direction. Our customer success rate is higher than before after implementing it.

Usability
Dun & Bradstreet
Whenever I had to use D&B hoovers, I never had a hard time with getting what I need. Additionally, when I show the tool to others, they tend to understand the platform quite quickly. The tool itself is very good and straightforward when I use it to help me put analyses together.

ZommInfo OPerations is pretty intuitive once you get the hang of it. I like that the current integrations make it easier to work within our existing flows and processes. Some of the more advanced features take a bit more training to fully understand and use correctly. And the interface could maybe be updated.

Reliability and Availability
Dun & Bradstreet
The platform is generally reliable and accessible when needed, with minimal application errors or unplanned outages. There may be occasional maintenance or minor disruptions, but these are usually communicated in advance and handled efficiently. Overall, it offers a high level of availability, ensuring that you can count on it for your daily operations.

If I talk about the operation's availibility, it is always available whenever I need it. Yeah, once in a while, I have seen an outage, but that was quickly resolved, so I would say they have a strong team that keeps the tool running, no matter if it is updating itself.

Performance
Dun & Bradstreet
While the platform generally functions well, with pages loading in a reasonable time and reports completing within a satisfactory timeframe, there is room for improvement. Performance can sometimes lag with more complex queries or during peak usage times. Additionally, when integrated with other software or systems, there can be occasional slowdowns. Overall, while it performs adequately, optimizing speed and integration efficiency could enhance the user experience.

I would rate its performance 9. I do not doubt its performance, the pages load quickly withour laging or error. It gives a report within the time frame without errors, no matter how complex the report is. We integrated it with our CRM; at first, it tended to slow a little, but later it was fixed and ran smoothly.

Support Rating
Dun & Bradstreet
I think it could be better, easier and faster. Whenever I chat with someone it takes so long to get to an actual agent, and then when I finally get to one, they oftentimes don't have the answers for me or do not understand what I am asking, which is very frustrating.

I give this rating because I never feel they deserve less than it. Their commitment towards the customer is outstanding, whenever I need to reach out to the supprot, I feel like I am just talking to a person who is sitting beside me. They respond quickly and solve the problems easily, even guiding us on how not to get into the same problem again and again, so we can avoid going back to support.

Online Training
Dun & Bradstreet
The training sessions were well-structured and covered the key functionalities of the platform, making it easy to get up to speed. The trainers were knowledgeable and responsive to questions, which added value to the learning experience. However, a bit more in-depth coverage of advanced features and use cases would have made the training even more beneficial.

Have a plan on how you're going to evaluate. We had a two-month trial period, but a six-month average lead cycle time, making it impossible to evaluate on a purely new-business ROI basis within the trial. We applied the model to our prior data, which demonstrated how much time and effort was devoted to accounts that weren't going to close

Alternatives Considered
Dun & Bradstreet
Finance Analytics provides a more thorough company credit report and is more in-depth than Hoovers. However, I use Hoovers for instances where I do not need that information because it allows unlimited queries, whereas you pay for a limited number of reports from Finance Analytics. Hoovers provides a better link between corporate family trees and finance analytics.

I haven't tried stacking it against any competition as I feel no need to. ZoomInfo blows me away like it first did in 2018, and I don't want something different. I hear Clay is good, but I just haven't felt the need to try it out or replace ZoomInfo at all.

Contract Terms and Pricing Model
Dun & Bradstreet
The pricing model is generally clear and competitive, but there could be more flexibility in terms of unit pricing or billing frequency to better accommodate varying needs. While the contract terms are straightforward, exploring more options or customizable plans might enhance the overall value.

Scalability
Dun & Bradstreet
D&B Hoovers is quite effective at adapting to the needs of different departments and locations, allowing for flexible deployment and integration across various parts of an organization. While it scales well and supports a broad range of users and functions, there might be some limitations depending on the size and complexity of the organization’s requirements. Overall, it provides a robust solution that can grow with your needs.4o mini

This is the most important and beautiful thing about this tool: it has strong scalability across teams and use cases. It allows us to expand from a single thing to multiple things, like sales to multiple departments, e.g., marketing, Data Accuracy, and Customer Success, without needing complex changes in the setup.

Return on Investment
Dun & Bradstreet
  • D&B Hoovers allows me to make the most of my time when searching for companies within specific industries. Once I find a company and examine their profile, I can then generate a list of employees in the purchasing and engineering departments. The profiles for each listed employee contain cell phone, Email address and LinkedIn profile. This information helps me to bypass the companies front desk and get directly to the people I need to speak with.
  • By knowing the specific job title for the people that I am contacting and then being able to click on their LinkedIn link to learn a little about them before I make the call, I come across as a sales professional instead of an impersonal cold-caller.
  • In cases where I do need to go through a front desk receptionist whose primary mission is to screen out sales people, I find that three out of four times the receptionist will connect me to the specific employee because I know their name, department, and job title. The Intel provided by D&B Hoovers makes it possible for me to get to the people I need to speak with.

  • Generate more pipeline - indirectly. Data from anywhere still needs to be transformed and used for a business objective.
  • Saved time in doing research and data population.
  • Assuming a business will purchase a data vendor, the comparison between other vendors is a factor of cost, functionality, and data quality. ZoomInfo has higher costs typically - which would lower the ROI - but with proper incentives or discounts, the comparative ROI grows.
