One cause is better for an event to sell tickets and run an online auction. Little Green Light is better to store all donor infomation and run reports.
I was not involved in the selection process. When the decision was made, it was one of the best on the market. They had used Blackbaud in the past and were very unhappy with it. I inherited Little Green Light
Little Green Light blows these other two CRM's out of the water. {Little Green Light has] ease of use, user-friendly prompts, and more pertinent information is captured. Little Green Light is perfect for my small-sized Non-Profit organization.
I had a really hard time with Salesforce. It has so much capacity and potential but is not user-friendly at all. Their support team was incredibly difficult as well.
Salesforce is so vast and complicated that I was unable to make sense of how to use the product, despite being reasonably computer-literate. In comparison, LGL was simple to use from day one. It was clearly built for nonprofits, unlike Salesforce which appears to have taken …
LGL is much cheaper than these alternatives. While their design is more professional and their customer support more available (LGL does not do phone support), LGL had all of the functions we need.
LGL is significantly less expensive with higher functionality, easier for more users to access, and has more information easily viewable without pulling a formal report.
I used Raiser's Edge previously, it was more robust but was not as easy to quickly upload tasks and assign them to stewards. However it was easier to process gifts on Raiser's Edge and we were able to double-check all gift coding before committing batches, without slowing down …
Little Green Light is reliable, easy to maneuver, and has robust features that are trustworthy, accessible, and a more user-friendly system than either Bloomerang, Salsa, DonorTools, and Eleo Online. I've tried or demoed most every system out there for small- to medium-sized …
It's been a long time since I used eTap, but I much prefer LGL. It's just set up in a way that makes storing and pulling up info much easier, and pulling reports. Unless eTap has changed in the past 6 or so years.
I have not used any other donor management softwares. In many respects, it is similar to a combination of a project management and a customer relations management software.
It's more cost effective, for starters. OneCause also has the same features when it comes to events, auctions, and fundraising. Lastly, we feel more supported by the OneCause support team and our success manager than we did with alternative platforms.
OneCause is much more simplified and the service level is much higher. BetterUnite does not have the same level of customer service, and their platform is not as user friendly.
Blackbaud did not have the functionality that I was looking for. I felt like it was too limited. It did not have the silent auction component that I was looking for. Also, Blackbaud charges by the record, which can be very costly, especially when I have a minimum of 10,000 …
We absolutely love 4agood cause for day to day/peer to peer fundraising however, it just was not as robust when it came to event needs which required us to use outside software for those reasons. Givesmart was good, however a change in their packages required outside sourcing …
In our experience, OneCause has more lift on the front end than Greater Giving. Especially since, in my opinion, the registration for a live event isn't of the caliber that I've seen from GG. But, if you can handle the registration and use a third-party tool like GivingFuel or …
OneCause is superior in many ways to GreaterGiving. The website is easy to navigate and the courses and trainings that are offered allow for a smooth transition. There is less room for error, and OneCause helps streamline the process of running such a large event. We've had …
We looked at Auctria and GiveSmart, though we didn't go into great detail with either. We ultimately selected OneCause based on the recommendation of another local school that used it for its auction software. The customer service and support as we made this decision and …
I personally never used Otego but it was more expensive then OneCause and it was a one night deal. With OneCause we get to keep the software all year and get to do more events/ auctions because of that.
I LOVE Little Green Light! I was part of my old org's transition to this database, then I consulted a nonprofit and supported their transition to Little Green Light. Then, I started with my current org 2 years ago and moved us over. It's by far the best donor database I've used.
They are very well suited at assisting with troubleshooting at registration. They are very helpful at the end of the event, where we are collecting payments and closing out auction items. The ticket process is confusing, and the table seating process is cumbersome.
Great support team! I was initially worried because they don't have a contact number, but they reply to support questions really quickly and are always helpful.
Customer service during planning phases- reps always get back to me to help answer my questions.
Event managers are always great to work with at our Gala. We really need someone to make sure the whole program runs well, and OneCause never disappoints.
Variety of events that we can use this for is awesome! No need for paypal, venmo, etc.
Mobile bidding has been a game changer for us. People can participate in our auction even if they cannot attend the event!
Platform is relatively easy to use- intuitive even for those who are not techy!
I wish it had email formatting rather than integrating with MailChimp, but a small price to pay since it does in fact handle email communications. I've actually found that donors appreciate the "personal" touch versus the more polished, formatted email of MailChimp because they feel like the email went just to them.
Wish it had the ability to email year-end statements as easy as it is to print them.
Auto-numbering items in auctions need to be editable. Right now, when you add items, they are numbered consecutively, and you can't edit them. I want all of my items to be numbered together by item type. We always have last-minute additions, but there is no ability to renumber.
We have had no issues with LIttle Green Light so I do not see us moving to another software platform at this time. We are all familiar with how to use it and we are a small and mighty team so we don't want to rock the boat too much. LOL
We are a very small non-profit and are actually looking to use another service just to cut costs, but we may not stay with them and will coming running back to OneCause if we can't make the other option work! The ONLY reason to move would be to reduce the over-head cost of the platform.
Use of the software is generally fine, but the setup and implementation are not always intuitive. Though the knowledgebase is robust and covers a lot of areas (and the support team is pleasant and knowledgeable), the event setup process (particularly when setting up payment and bank information) can be a bit cumbersome and should really be streamlined
LGL support is absolutely unreal. Send a question straight from inside the software and within minutes you will receive a response from someone at the company who will help you. Most of the time, the person responding to my questions is one of the developers or owners of the company. They are kind, patient, and very helpful. The online knowledge base is very comprehensive as well.
OneCause has the BEST customer support I have ever experienced. They are patient, and knowledgeable and always help me when I contact them. Whenever I have inquired how to use a feature or asked about how to do something, they give me the answer but also go above and beyond with additional info that I ended up also using.
We hired OneCause to guide us through our first event after we signed up with them. The staff they sent were pros. They gave us professional guidance and support. Once we had been shown the ropes, we knew we could take the reins and confidently run our next event
I don't know if my insights are key but I can say that implementation was done in-house without any outside support for the solution. The staff influencing the solution had very little technical expertise and ability as well which showed just how easily the software was to implement.
Little Green Light blows these other two CRM's out of the water. {Little Green Light has] ease of use, user-friendly prompts, and more pertinent information is captured. Little Green Light is perfect for my small-sized Non-Profit organization.
We looked at Auctria and GiveSmart, though we didn't go into great detail with either. We ultimately selected OneCause based on the recommendation of another local school that used it for its auction software. The customer service and support as we made this decision and transition was a confirmation for us.
In two years of using it, we went from $200,000 annually in donor revenue to $500,000. Many factors went into that, but the ease of communications through LGL is definitely one of them.
We went from managing communications with ~200 donors to ~400.
As I stated earlier in my review, the donation feature that is automatically implemented when purchasing tickets ended up paying for the entire year's subscription! Amazing feature to add for our Non-profit donor base
Having all of the Supporters info saved within the system since we have the same supporters usually year after year! So nice to have
