I haven't tried any of the Vidyard competitors, but have heard good things about Wistia as well. Both companies send great marketing content with tips and tricks for getting the most value out of their systems. At this point I have no urge of switching to a different video …
Youtube and Vimeo, no comparison. Analytics and CRM integration just aren't there. Obviously not focused on businesses and the customer support isn't there even though they do technically host videos. They just do a way worse job.
I am hoping to send many videos via email. Wistia would have been charging per video per month. Vidyard is unlimited videos which was a huge selling point for me.
We selected Vidyard because Wistia didn't offer as many robust lead generation features and didn't offer as deep of integration with Hubspot. We also wanted to have that main video hub and Wistia didn't have that at all when we were doing this evaluation, though I think they …
Vidyard seems to be the easiest to use especially for our sales teams. Our Customer Advocate and Implementation Teams do use CloudApp. It seems similar, but less applicable for sales. Vidyard has awesome Salesforce and HubSpot integrations!
Overall the things that I liked the most about Vidyard are:
The page where people see your video can be customized to look like our website; their name/brand is not there. You can also add links in the top menu to navigate through our website, request a demo, etc.
Perhaps, these competitors have upped their game since I last used them, but I find Vidyard to be quicker to integrate into websites in that it takes less troubleshooting overall. Also, I'm not sure if these companies have quite the same ease of use when it comes to screen cap …
At the time we switched we were impressed with the email process. it was significantly better than Soap Box. We switched back as Soap Box improved and the library difficulties became irritating.
Hosting-wise they are very similar but Vidyard allows for way more customization and is just an extremely flexible and full-featured tool. The HubSpot integration is stronger as well.
Wistia stacks up against the competitors quite well. It's more affordable than Vidyard and Brightcove. It provides enough functionality and metrcis for our current video campaigns...we are just getting started. Perhaps when we graduate onto more sophisticated video campaigns we …
Vimeo Pro works well for artistic folks, those on a budget, or those not looking to leverage video for demand gen or lead capture. It served us well for a while, but just wasn't cutting it. Wistia has more on the integrations end than Vimeo, and we have benefitted the most from …
Wistia provides the functionality that most companies need for video marketing and video hosting/analytics. When we compared with Vidyard, the cost of Vidyard was far higher, but the functionality did not seem to be much more advanced than Wistia. Wistia seems to be a good …
Honestly, I haven't gotten too in-depth yet, but that is the closest thing. Gotta give that point to Wistia, though, still because in my experience, at least, trying to learn Vidyard's features did not seem to be the right path at the time when Wistia was not causing any …
I found Vidyard to be a tad clunky, at least when I tried to use it. Vimeo's design features didn't seem as modern to me and didn't integrate as well with other apps/website platforms, at least when I was investigating a video hosting platform. Wistia is more expensive than Vidy…
Vidyard was much more expensive even though it has tighter integration with HubSpot. This put Wistia in a better category from a cost perspective because most of the heavy lifting with automation is handled on the HubSpot side of things. Vidyard also felt like it was geared to …
Wistia offers more features overall and a better interface. I have found that they have the best analytics and provide helpful insights into the performance of each video. You can integrate incredibly easy into websites, without technical savvy or any kind of expertise with …
Wistia seemed to be more embraced by our sales team. We had also met members of their team at marketing conferences and they were very helpful in sending materials and best practices that got us firing on all cylinders out of the gate. At the end of the day, we are looking for …
Wistia was our default choice because of the popularity and the quality of videos generated by the team. We did not evaluate other software platforms and directly went with Wistia.
