My involvement is at the billing and analytic level. The software provides a simple user interface that helps with submitting patient claims, managing patient accounts receivable, pairing insurance information, etc. They are one of the only patient billing software solutions that allow backdoor access (via MS SQL Server) to the underlying tables/database via an Open Database Connection (ODBC). The software is used by the majority of individuals working at our company. We have been quite pleased with their "canned" business intelligence tool (Advanced Insight).,They provide access to their underlying tables via Open Database Connection (ODBC). This streamlines business intelligence processes greatly.
The "canned"/"stock" business intelligence tool (Advanced Insight) is very useful.
Our dedicated customer support representative (Breah Teed) has exceeded our expectations.,They do not currently allow users to "lock down" the date field which represents the date that payments were deposited into a bank account. Users are capable of perpetually changing these dates.
They are currently building a process which allows users to reconcile payment data to a source document (typically an entity's bank account). We are eagerly awaiting the roll out of this product.
We have had issues at times where undeserving patients were sent to collections due to software or human error (no true cause was ever found).,9,Our ability to integrate with our BI tool via ODBC has had an immense positive effect on our business.

AdvancedMD allows for customized input templates giving the medical practice some degree of flexibility as their needs dictate.,Just recently we had an incident in which none of our employees could access the training.advancemd.com training materials. After extensive trouble shooting it was determined the issue was not with the local network, PC configuration, or firewalling. The AdvanceMD support personnel were not empowered to escalate this case as it should have been. Ultimately a correction in the server configuration for the training materials cleared up the issue, but not with assistance from Tier 1 support personnel.
Integration with the scanners can be problematic and has been a headache. Even with the Fujitsu scanners, the best in the business, we had challenges and found that some of the Tier 1 support staff were not trained or did not have access to the necessary documentation to fix the issue. The issues were eventually resolved but not without time lost in the process.,8,AdvancedMD has allowed this medical practice to scale up at their own pace as the practice grew. It provides predictable and controllable costs.

Uses include patient scheduling, accounting reports, task manager, medical billing, etc. We were able to pull important account aging reports for our client collection teams. Task reports were utilized by the AR Support team in resolving insurance billing errors and problems.,Detailed Aging reports very easy to follow and helpful in our business.

Our front desk, MAs, NPs, PAs, Medical Directors, Billers, Accounting and Managers utilize the software every day. It allows us to communicate effectively within our centers across the United States; get our claims out for billing and document the patient's visits on the clinical side.,The customer service at ADP AdvancedMD is second to none. The just created an 'Idea Share' area where clients can talk to each other and offer suggestions on making the software better. They listen to their clients and take suggestions into consideration when considering what updates to include in their next release.
The product is very user friendly on both sides (PM and EHR). I have used other products in the past and find ADP AdvancedMD to be to be easiest to navigate.
Training and Implementation is great! They give clients the tools and resources necessary to be successful. From an online help file, to videos, to a consultant to help get you started, ADP AdvancedMD wants you to succeed.,Unapplied credits could be handled better within the software. It would be very beneficial to have the option to automatically apply unapplied credits to patients accounts across the board with a click of a button.
Facilities need to be able to be tied directly to Provider Profiles to make reporting easier.
You must use Internet Explorer with ADP AdvancedMD. It would be better if you could use it with Chrome, Firefox, etc.
Needs the ability to use the product on a MAC.,10,In comparison to other software companies out there, you can be confident in knowing that ADP AdvancedMD is a great product! ADP AdvancedMD got higher ups involved to help us get the reports out of the system the same day.,The appointment scheduler is very easy to use and has a good workflow.
Billing - Submitting claims is very simple and you get immediate results on claims that did not go through. This allows you to fix errors and get claims out the door in real time.
EHR - Documenting a patient visit is very simple.,Unapplied payments - This is our headache with the software. We see so many patients and if we put in a default copay to have it automatically apply to the visit and the insurance comes back and says they didn't have a copay or they paid too much, we have to unapply the patient payment before we can apply the insurance payment. If we don't put in a default copay for the patient, we have a huge unapplied report to work that just grows every day.,Yes,10,9,9,9Verified User
