The report-building process doesn’t require any support from IT staff or internal data teams. In addition, reports can be white labeled to reflect the organization’s branding—a critical feature when delivering reports to clients and customers outside of the organization.

Once a report is built, it can be embedded into apps, shared online, printed to any page size, or exported to formats like PDF, Excel, and Word. The built-in configuration options give report designers precise, pixel-perfect control over every element in a report, including its paging, margins, headers, and footers. Visualizations

To ensure the right visualization is available to bring critical information to light, Bold Reports offers a selection of report items, including more than two dozen chart types, tables, matrices, barcodes, data bars, indicators, sparklines, shapes, gauges, list boxes, and maps. When visualizing hierarchical data, users can drill through for the macro and the micro to analyze every facet of information and to add impressive interactivity seldom found in reporting platforms. Furthermore, report designers can break reports into smaller, more manageable subreports that can be edited individually and compiled dynamically.

Report management simplified

Bold Reports also serves as a report management system that grants administrators fine-grained control over their reports and what users can do with them. Admins can schedule report refreshes and exports; manage data sets and which reports can access them; configure notifications, their types, their triggers, and their recipients; and much more. Actions like editing, deleting, favoriting, sharing, exporting, commenting, and exploring version histories can be granted to or withheld from users as needed to balance security concerns and legal compliance with data access. Additionally, Bold Reports boasts robust authentication support, row-level security, and role-based access controls.

Multitenancy can be employed to keep reports confined to their relevant departments and stakeholders. Built-in tools allow admins to monitor data usage, access logs, and system performance across tenants, and data sources can be shared between tenants or isolated.
