We use Google Data Studio to send our clients weekly and monthly analytics reports for their social media profiles. It has made this process significantly easier and less time-consuming since we are able to schedule the reports to send automatically.
  • Easy to schedule automatic emails
  • Completely customizable
  • Can connect to almost anything to pull data
  • Honestly Google Data Studio does really well. The improvements I would like to see have to do with connectors, not Google Data Studio itself.
For our purposes (sending and receiving consistent reports) it is perfect. We use it specifically for social media, and the only drawback is that I can't always pull all the data I want (for example, I wanted to know how many applications we had on Facebook, but this is not a metric provided by Facebook, therefore I couldn't put it in a Google Data Studio report either).

  • Reduced time needed for reporting
  • Simplified process for my team
  • Helps keep reporting consistent
At this point I am unable to have Facebook ads data in the Agorapulse reports (although I can customize them now). If at any point I am able to include this data I'm my Agorapulse reports I will switch to that so that I. Not having to use several different software programs.

I am the COO of the company, I oversee the day-to-day operations of the company, reporting, and analytics.
The second team member that uses Google Data Studios is my assistant. She helps with getting reporting to clients, filling out reports, and other tasks.

I am the main person to support issues with Google Data Studio. Everything I have learned along the way - while there are slight similarities to Excel or other software which I had experience with, learning the nuances of connectors has been the most challenging. For setting up a report, there is little prior experience or skill needed, as much of it is drag and drop.
  • Automated reporting
  • Quick overview of key metrics
  • Completely customizable reports
  • Each report can be customized with its own branding
  • To create reports representing different time periods
  • There are no additional ways that I anticipate at this time. It is for reporting, and that is what we use it for.
It is the simplest and least expensive way for us to automate our reporting at this time. I like the ability to customize literally everything about each report, and the ability to send out reports automatically in emails. The only issue we have been having recently is a technical glitch in the automatic email report. Sadly, there is almost no support for this tool from Google, but is also free, so that is important to take into consideration.
