Overall Satisfaction with ClickUp
We use ClickUp to organize, planning and execute tasks, projects or any activities in the organization. Could be a simple "bug fix" as an entire complex project related to any area like IT, UX/UI, Product Management, Catalog, RRHH activity, etc. Every team defines with which "framework" will work, in our case, we made it with scrum planning, we created task by sprints, we estimate times for each task, and we expect to complete all the tasks to end of week/sprint.
Pros
- Custom Dashboards
- Time tracking
- Visibility in the tasks
Cons
- Notification system sometimes sends to me notifications from tasks that are not related with me, I think that if I never interacted in a task and the assignment is removed from me, I should not be notified of changes to it.
- Load times in some dashboard or views are too many slow sometimes, I think could work to improve the performance.
Of course, it has helped collaboration between different teams in a more efficient and transparent way. In addition, it makes other teams aware of how much time is spent on tasks that may sound "easy" but behind them, they require a large investment of time/work, which helps future implementations to first assess it with all those involved.
Personally, I don't use workflow automation, but what I've seen in other teams is that it helps them streamline task creation in repetitive processes by creating templates for certain projects, which means saving time that can be used in other processes within the project you want to work on, which makes it a powerful tool.
Jira is a product that was once very good, but it became too "heavy" to use, many of its tools were not useful to me at the time and only caused me noise. On the other hand, Trello is very basic for the number of tasks, relationships and objectives of our organization, it is more useful for smaller projects or personal organization. And finally, I tried Asana very superficially, which did not hook me, and having a large part of our workflows already configured in ClickUp, it was not a good idea to move to something new.
