Overall Satisfaction with ClickUp

We have used ClickUp as a complete business management tool, to handle managing our daily client responsibilities, our sales flow and our CRM, as well as our content creation and management portal. ClickUp has been an all-in-one solution, true to it's goal, where we could manage just about every aspect of our business activities. This includes things such as web design projects, search engine optimization clients, social media management, and business management for two other associated companies. I must confess, I have managed much of my personal life and responsibilities there as well! Due to my extensive amount of use of ClickUp, I am recognized as a Verified Power User by ClickUp.
  • Structure - I can create the structure I need for any type of project
  • Detail - I can create the custom fields I need for any type of data management
  • Versatility - From task mgmt to doc mgmt, whiteboards to mindmaps, I have multiple ways of processing data
  • Perspective - The multiple, customizable views are a real help
  • The new, integrative dashboards are an amazing help! Now, I can drill down right into my tasks from the dashboard graph views. Very helpful!
  • Speed - This is the big elephant in the room. It is an extremely slow platform to work within, especially with lots of data in the mix.
  • Analysis - While the ability to create dashboards is there, the automated overviews of project spaces in products like Asana or Quire is a gaping hole.
  • ClickUp has been a great benefit in my need to improve our organizational and structural view of our business, our work and our client responsibilities.
  • ClickUp's weakest link, however, has been the speed of the platform. However, I have recently found a way to address that, and so no more complaints on that end!
Our most recent appreciation of the collaborative impact of ClickUp was when working on a Content plan for a product launch. We were able to build and maintain a content repository using the docs tool, that included hierarchical structure, collaborative editing, and powerful embedding features. Overall, it was extremely helpful.
The automations within ClickUp are a very helpful component. I've really appreciated the ability to automatically assign tasks, change statuses, initiate actions, etc., through the automation tool. We haven't needed to do much with external tool integration, but for example, new appointments made in my calendar automatically create meeting tasks in ClickUp, and new form entries on a 3rd party platform automatically create lead follow-up tasks in ClickUp, which we then e-mail using the built-in e-mail functionality.
I selected ClickUp over all of these due to the extensive functionality available. Most would do this well of that well, but nothing would fully cover all I was seeking to do in one platform, or if it did, would be missing something, such as custom fields or sub-tasks or checklists. However, through the years, I must confess it has been a "love/hate" sort of relationship, as I kept looking for a platform that would help me actually plan my day better, and that would work faster. I initially left Asana for ClickUp, due to my dissatisfaction with the navigation they (Asana) had in place at that time. I have recently been frustrated with the speed of ClickUp, and so I tested Asana again. They have vastly improved their navigation, and certainly have some great features in place now, but it still could not replace the functionality of ClickUp. So, I tested an idea with the speed issues I was having, and was able to finally have a quick, responsive ClickUp experience on my desktop! Now, no need to look anywhere else for what I already have!
