Overall Satisfaction with Miro

Miro is great for multiple purposes. As a designer, it is a great space to gather requirements, perform brainstorming, and has been a great platform to facilitate fun activities like ice breakers. Especially since going remote it has been a nice space to work with stakeholders to map out ideas and take notes on screens/flows. We have used the platform to run several design sprints and is great to have shared spaced and documentation.
  • Templates for different activities ie. Design Sprint
  • Collaborative space
  • Incorporate functionality for many different use cases
  • Includes fun micro functionality
  • The AI functionality is super helpful for multiple use cases
  • a range of use - for more advanced users vs those less tech savy?
  • more emphasis on the trainings available? and more of a call out for new features
  • more design elements to use
  • The organization of boards/groupings/projects could be better. Add labels/tags?
  • Increased collaboration efficiency especially during remote work
  • Meeting efficiency - we can document what we are accomplishing and make notes for next steps in a shared space
  • Helped with documenting work and working sessions/decisions. Cutting down time by noting having to take notes separately and boards can be used to be referenced again.
Super helpful to keep coworkers engaged in sessions even while everyone is working from different spaces. It has allowed us to continue to performing working sessions, design thinking sessions, and have productive brainstorming workshops. It allows people across the teams and across the nation work together in a collaborative space. It's been great to have real time working space that everyone can be in and contribute to.
Its a good product for a wider range of user types/users from a range of teams. It does a wide scope of functionalities. From whiteboarding, presentation creation, workshopping, onboarding space, and more!

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

It is super helpful in facilitating brainstorming sessions and documenting notes and goals from meetings. It's great to have a working space everyone can join and interact with. I find it to mostly use it with groups, I have not explored the use cases for more personal usage. I need to explore the presentation mode more because that is an area I find challenging. When we want to present things users can get 'car sick' while the presenter is moving around the board.

Using Miro

  • Workshopping
  • Project Presentation
  • Onboarding space
  • Meeting documentation
  • Meeting shareouts
  • onboarding
  • user testing documentation
  • continue to document projects
  • repository for projects/research
  • individuals space for goal setting and workspace
I think we have integrated the program into our work process and across teams.

Evaluating Miro and Competitors

  • Ease of Use
It was to help the transition to remote work and needed to be very easy to use across teams
Now I would look at competitors AI capabilities and how flexible or how many functionalities the programs have. I think the programs that can be used for more then just one specific use case are more desirable. Also the ease of use and learning curve required as well as the ability for multiple people to work together in the program.

Miro Implementation

Change management was minimal
  • Teaching people how to use it
  • Organizing the teams
  • Having space for different departments
500 - Marketing, design, product, research, and more

Miro Training

yeah it was easy to figure out or search for tips

Miro Support

I have not used support
No, no budget for more expense.

Using Miro

It's pretty easy and intuitive to use. There are some things that need to be learned like the icons and where certain things are. How the items on the top right, vs top left, vs left side are laid out feels sort of random. I feel like they could be condensed or better displayed?
ProsCons

Miro Reliability

Multiple departments use it
It can take a while to load, desktop app takes a little longer I find
