Overall Satisfaction with Paycom
Paycom is used throughout the entire organization. It allows time tracking as well as benefit, time off requests, sick and vacation time management as well as clocking in and out for hourly employees.
- It is very detailed in the time tracking of hourly employees. There are time punches for every occasion with "Comment" space for employees and/or supervisors to make necessary adds.
- Its reporting functionality on all in and out punches is very extensive. It can report on any category it tracks and you have the ability to export to excel.
- The vacation/sick time tracking and request off process is very easy to use and great for employees to have access to view and request.
- The reporting although very extensive has a little convoluted and could use some better standard reports that you do not have to build yourself.
- Although it has a batch edit functionality for editing time cards, the batch option only works with all employees, it would be nice if you could select specific employees and then batch edit those selected.
- Although it can require significant time from employees to punch in and out as well as make edits to their time card paired with supervisors approving these time cards and changes to the time cards, it allows for detailed time tracking that should impact the workforce as far as being present and punched in on time.
- The benefits online section as well as the vacation/sick time management can save employees as well as supervisors significant time by having a lot of processes automated and cutting down on paper flow across departments.
I did not select Paycom, however the functionalities that I am aware of are far greater in Paycom than they are in ADP. I am not the power user for either but as a supervisor I appreciate the amount of accountability Paycom provides.
