Overall Satisfaction with Paylocity
We use Paylocity for both payroll and Human Resources functions. We do everything from recruiting through separation and COBRA using Paylocity and find it very user-friendly. Any issues I've had that have required me to contact Customer Service for assistance, they have always been responsive and helpful. I appreciate the Community section where all the employees can interact, and as a Manager, Data Insights gives me access to metrics that help me with reporting and planning. Our insurance interacts with the payroll and HR features which makes administering benefits all that much easier. Overall it meets the needs of our company and is easy to navigate.
Pros
- Payroll
- Performance Reviews
- Community
- Data - Metrics
Cons
- Supervision sections, check in (other than journals)
- Easier time capturing for payroll - interfacing with other software
- Easier to add own choices to drop downs and templates
- Turnover tracking by dept and manager
- Reduced missed reports with reminders
- Data insights
Allows all SMT to participate in employee engagement. Allows employees access to their information easily, avoids paperwork backup/misplaced papers. I've only been using it for a year and continue to find hidden tasks it does that helps.
We have not used this portion yet. This is our goal for this year; to have all staff engaged and involved with Community and use that as our Communications Hub.

- Aspire (other)
We use a different Aspire and it does not integrate at all - it handles our time and labor.
- Aspire (landscape management software)
Aspire is very prickly about who they integrate with.
- File import/export
- API (e.g. SOAP or REST)
I'm not sure if it does it or not, but I'd like to see google calendars and time off calendars integrate.
