Love the Paylocity System!
Overall Satisfaction with Paylocity
We use Paylocity for processing payroll, Onboarding, Recruiting, Learning, Performance, analytics, benefits integrations. The Paylocity system helps us to manage and process nearly all aspects Payroll and HR in our business. The analytics are great and help us to better manage employee costs and retention.
Pros
- Processing payroll, handling all tax reporting, and generating reports. Basic weekly payroll functions.
- Recruiting meets all expectations for managing applicant flow, and integrations.
- Data Insights available are very useful in identifying trends.
Cons
- Customer service has dropped off in the last couple of years. It is rare to get a quick response, with a resolution. That said I believe Paylocity is still better than other HRIS systems I've had experience with.
- Workflows & Documents, I'm sure there are processes, approvals and flows we could be utilizing more, but I do not find it easy to navigate. That may include an Offboarding flow. We currently use Onboarding, to do our Offboarding.
- I would like to see a monthly or quarterly webinar for the function updates and changes.
- Over time it has helped our retention. The ease of use and things like Community keep employees engaged.
- We had over 500 employees, 20 locations, and 2 people can easily manage the entire HR process, from job posting, recruiting, training, onboarding, payroll processing and more.
- Data Insights is very useful looking at our overall costs, trends, and we use it to better manage labor costs.
I think the more automation, AI, frequent updates are all helping us to better manage our HR business needs. The integrations used are all helpful and seamless.

Community & Recognition have been great. We get good utilization in both, and it's been a very positive way to bring 500 employees together in one space. We're able to reach out and engage and it's all very positive.
We use the Surveys for a few things, new hires for instance. And this has been a great way to measure new hire satisfaction, where at one time we were losing employees in the first 30 days. That is not the case currently.

We have been using Paylocity since 2018. At the time pricing and customer service was the main reason. The pricing is still very competitive, and even though I feel the Paylocity service has dropped off, it is still better than what I experienced years ago with ADP. Overall, I very pleased with Paylocity, the frequent enhancements, pricing, ease of use, and things like Community really make the difference.
