Overall Satisfaction with Paylocity

We mainly use Paylocity for payroll and record keeping.

Pros

  • Payroll capabilities
  • Time off management
  • EDI feeds

Cons

  • LMS - Classes can be generic. Would be huge if we could customize
  • Reporting - Still very difficult to pull simple reports
  • Portals - It can be very frustrating to have to go to payroll AND time and labor to make a simple change. Everything should be in one system rather then a new system for each product.
Automation is happening in areas that we don't need it to
Employees do not use any of these tools.
Not as good as Paycor but more trustworthy than adp

Paylocity handles payroll well. It is not user friendly for people that aren't familiar with it though.

Using Paylocity

88 - All, employee to admin
1 - Need someone with a good memory to remember all the steps it takes to complete tasks

Only renewing since i'm going on maternity leave and won't be here to support the staff in learning a new hris system

At the point when we were switching to Paylocity we forecasted major growth and needed a system that would handle that.
Would have done a deeper dive into why you have a million different portals rather than having everything in one system.

Paylocity Implementation

It took a very long time and there were quite a few things done incorrectly

Too many one offs.
Make the system all in one rather than a million different portals that done talk to each other very well
No - we have not done any customization to the interface

Paylocity Support

Sending someone an article number is frustrating... sending someone an article number that doesn't even remotely fix the issue it extremely aggravating and makes me think that your support team doesn't value me as a customer or know what they're doing

Yes - It was eventually resolved but had to use quite a few workarounds for quite a long time before it was resolved

Paylocity Reliability

Too many portals that don't talk to each other very well
If I call I can usually get ahold of someone but sometimes they make me wait for an answer which defeats the purpose
Onboarding can be very slow

Integrating Paylocity

We work for a tech company and our guys think Paylocity makes it difficult to integrate with
SSO was set up a few weeks ago and already breaking. Checkr integration works well.
