Use Cases and Deployment Scope

While others in my org use Rippling for several things, in my role, I use it for capturing and submitting expenses. It's definitely been the best expense platform I've used (and I've used quite a few over the years). It's easy to use, very efficient, and offers all the features I need to quickly get expenses done and paid out, saving me a ton of time in the process.

Pros

OCR/Automatic Receipt Recognition.
Visibility and notifications for everyone involved in the expense approval process.
An easy-to-use mobile app.
A digital expense card that can be loaded with per diem and used with Apple Pay.

Cons

The mobile app navigation could be better streamlined to be more efficient.

Return on Investment

Saving employees' time when submitting expenses.
A great review/approval process to ensure only appropriate items are getting expensed.

Alternatives Considered

Emburse Nexonia and Expensify

Rippling is WAY better than Nexonia in almost every way. It's been a long time since I used Expensify, but Rippling has new features, such as a digital expense/per diem card, that Expensify did not have when I was using it.

Usability

Overall, it's very good and user-friendly. I mentioned before that the only improvement I could think of would be to make the mobile app navigation a little more efficient.

Likelihood to Recommend

It's been the easiest platform to get set up with direct deposit and then start using the mobile app. This would be very helpful for any organization that might have some less technical employees. At the end of the day, submitting expenses isn't a "fun" activity, but Rippling does a great job at making it as quick and painless as possible.
