Acquisio
Chose Acquisio
Although Kenshoo might be a good fit for some agencies, Acquisio is an infinitely better fit for ours. Acquisio has allowed us to automate and scale in a way that simply would not have been possible with Kenshoo. Also, in my opinion, Acquisio offers a far superior bid …
Chose Acquisio
In terms of reporting Acquisio offers a much more flexible platform where you can fully customize and schedule reports as needed.
Chose Acquisio
We have started using Domo since we began using Acquisio and are extremely happy with Domo. We will continue to use Acquisio though because of the ability to directly manage paid search ads and the ability to create simple reports quickly. Also considering the cost of Domo, …
Chose Acquisio
I have worked with Adwords, Facebook and Acquisio
Chose Acquisio
We looked at other players like Marin and Kenshoo but found them to be overpriced and service to be lacking. Acquisio is very customer responsive, and the product is priced right.
Chose Acquisio
Marin is great for smaller teams, but lacks in the sexy reporting. Kenshoo is the closest rival and a little more difficult to set up, but once you get it running it's great.
Chose Acquisio
Marin and Acquisio both have their advantages. Marin has an easier editor platform to make quick bid and budget changes along with a reporting system that has the ability to do web queries for excel reporting, but the platform lacks intuitive or helpful automation. Whereas, …
Chose Acquisio
We actually use BrightEdge, Netsuite, Adwords, and a few other platforms - each platform delivers results in different areas that we would not use Acquisio for. Acquisio's advantage for us is being able to generate great looking reports for clients with complex, ongoing …
Chose Acquisio
Not quite as seamless as Marin whose editing tool seemed better but also not as expensive and fit better into our agency's budget.
Basis DSP
Chose Basis DSP
Advangelist, StackAdapt, Simplifi, Trade Desk, Media Math - overall most of the other platforms we reviewed were perfectly fine and can get the job done quite well. We have mostly stuck with basis because of the relationship that we have, the fact that they have continued to …
Chose Basis DSP
Basis [DSP] has much better fraud control than SmartyAds DSP. Even though they do not have the amount of supply inventory as Smarty, they have much more controls for invalid traffic and bots which is very important to minimize discrepancies and issues with clients.

Chose Basis DSP
Compared to these 3 alternatives, Basis DSP is the easiest to use. Applovin is more complex but it is very messy and the learning curve is pretty steep. Applovin is focused mostly on big clients and not suitable for agencies of any size. OpenX would be the closest competitor …
Chose Basis DSP
Basis is able to reach ad exchanges that these platforms can not. Basis serves as a one-stop shop whereas these platforms require 3rd party integrations.
Chose Basis DSP
We've previously tested Pocketmath and evaluated Beeswax.

Pocketmath and Basis are roughly the same in terms of cost and inventory. However, Pocketmath's interface, while very attractive, is very difficult to use to deploy large scale campaigns quickly. It is definitely …
Chose Basis DSP
The primary reason for an agency or an SMB to use Basis is cost -- unlike other platforms which are full service or enterprise platforms with aggressively high minimums, Basis is well suited for proofs of concept and smaller campaigns. It can scale up, but the entry-level …
Chose Basis DSP
Basis DSP is much more user-friendly than DoubleClick and allows us to host our ads within their platform, rather than having to use DCM and DBM. Although DBM has more third party targeting options, the overall user experience of Basis DSP is far superior to DoubleClick.
Chose Basis DSP
SiteScout has much more control over our ads than other comparable platforms offer. We spend a bit of time configuring everything, but we're able to perform many A/B tests and really optimize our campaigns to a very detailed level.
Constant Contact
Chose Constant Contact
Constant Contact was initially cheaper than Mailchimp, which is why we switched. Once we started using Constant Contact, it was clear we made the right choice. It is so much easier to use than our old platform. I can’t see any reason why we would ever change away from this …

Chose Constant Contact
1. Constant Contact provides features that were well suited for us being a mid-size organization.

It's been a long time since I used MailChimp. I do remember being impressed the first time I used Constant Contact after having used MailChimp exclusively for a couple of years.
Chose Constant Contact
i have not used any other products that are similar to Constant Contact
Chose Constant Contact
Mailchimp is pretty comparable in a lot of ways to Constant Contact, but Constant Contact just continues to win when it comes to deliver-ability and user-interface. It's clean, simple, and intuitive.
There are other platforms like ActiveCampaign and Klaviyo that have some …
Chose Constant Contact
Constant Contact is quite intuitive making it easy to distribute the workload such as one person creates conntent, one migrates it to the template, one edits the content, and so on. However, it is easy for any one of us to do each others work.
Chose Constant Contact
We selected Constant Contact due to pricing constraints. However, if the pricing were to increase, we may look at alternative products that offer more features. We are looking for a product that will allow us to stand out from other organizations like ours that are appealing to …

Chose Constant Contact
They’re both pretty similar software, however mailchimp maybe more intuitive. I think they are similar in terms of deliverability at this point. Constant Contact might be more bang for the same buck.
Chose Constant Contact
Very similar in nature. I feel it's more just what works for your organization as to what solution you are more familiar with and the pricing structure that fits your needs. For most organizations with sales departments, I would recommend a email platform that is linked with …
Chose Constant Contact
In my view, If I were made aware of Constant Contact's lack of performance, I would have never created an account. I would rather use Wix, or even just social media! It would be more effective, user-friendly, and less costly or stressful, I believe.

Overall, Constant Contact is the easiest to use with one of the lower price points. It is a great entry-level tool for a beginner in order to graduate into more sophisticated platforms. The design features are a good start along with the subject line testing which is helpful …
Chose Constant Contact
Constant contact was perfect for our needs for many clients, it wasn’t overly robust, but powerful enough to see strong ROI. With regards to the competitor tools, amongst standard ESP there’s not a huge difference as they all essentially work the same, it’s just about pricing …

Acquisio is a really good platform to manage search and display campaigns, but it is probably not the best if you want to manage social advertising. If you are really savvy with reporting I would strongly recommend the use of Acquisio. You can make custom reports and send them automatically to your customers. That gives you more time to focus on optimization instead of reporting.

Basis DSP is well suited to every type of campaign imaginable. My firm specializes in outreach and education campaigns and we use Basis DSP in order to turn people out to events and to take specific actions. Basis has changed how we do business for the better. The hyperlocal campaigns, native campaigns, and audio campaigns have all added excellent additional capabilities to our tool box and have allowed us to complete very compelling campaigns for our clients.

Constant Contact is great when trying to target specific market segments. We typically like to segment our master list by region, but also have product segments, as well. They do provide pre-made segments to start you off too. We don't usually use their email builder, we find others to be more flexible, intuitive, and have more variety. We do prefer emailing from Constant Contact, however.

  • Customer Service and Support is fantastic. Always willing to educate our team and help us get the most value out of the platform.
  • The ad fraud features are great. Through DV360 we need to use a third-party which comes with additional costs.
  • Easy to use platform.

  • Constant Contact allows the users to send unlimited emails and just pay per list size.
  • The software does welcome emails pretty well and allows you to set up all sorts of automation.
  • The branded templates and starter templates are very useful and look good.

Cons
  • Support isn't horrible, but it could be better.
  • Report template creation could be a little easier. Right now, when you create a component, it goes to the bottom and you have to drag it up to where you want it to be. This feels inefficient.

  • Managed service is a little pricey and tends to have slightly lower performance

I think the platform, with the latest release updates has a lot of great potential. The main decision, currently, is price and how that gets passed on to our clients. There has to be a conscious decision made on platform cost vs client spend and overall budget vs revenue.

There is no doubt that we are going to renew Constant Contact. We have not just invested a lot of time in learning and creating a great looking product but we have developed a strong database of information that allows us to track how we are doing for each newsletter. This supports our goals of creating products that residents desire and are excited to receive.

There is always room for improvement. I don't know how they test their systems, but they should invite not-so computer savvy people to test it. If I, as an expert have problems, they need to think like the technophobe. Since I've used Constant Contact in the past as part of my former employment, I have not viewed any of the tutorials and just jumped in to work on my client's newsletter. With that said, I found some areas easy and some a bit cumbersome

Within the interface there is an instant chat support feature that you can use to get help right away without having to pick up the phone or look for an email address. We have a dedicated account rep. She makes it seem like we are her only client, she is very responsive, helps each time we have a question and understands our campaign goals. Anytime we need support, our rep is available either email or call and if she is not going to be available, she will let us know ahead of time to provide back up and inform them of our current campaigns so they can better assist us.

I think the overall support for Constant Contact has always been incredible; I have nothing negative to say. Our customer support representative was attentive, easy to understand, and very knowledgeable. I never felt like I wasn't a priority of his and my issues, while very small, were fixed in a very short time frame.

There are a ton of tactics and strategy to implement in the DSP platform. There isn't really a selection of the different types of campaigns or tactics to choose from, you just have to learn as you go. Once you figure out the strategy and goal of the campaign it is very easy to implement the tactic and to achieve its goals.

Implementation is very easy for someone who wants to send out the “batch and blast” type newsletters. If you want to use their templates with no customizations, the product works fine. However, the more customizations you get into involving link color, etc, that’s where things can get tricky for someone who may not be familiar with coding

Return on Investment
  • Acquisio has helped us to improve relationships with our PPC clients.
  • The customizable reports have helped our consultants gain better insight into how to help their clients as well.
  • The standards we were able to reach using this platform have enabled us to be the top provider in our market.

  • Basis DSP allows us to reach users in many different places while controlling costs - access to major exchanges at a competitive bid rate allows us to provide a lot of added-value to clients without dramatically increasing the cost they incur.
  • The team is friendly, helpful, and responsive, so we don't have a lot of situations where we're locked in campaign downtime due to a customer service issue with negative downstream impacts to the bottom line.
  • Periodic reporting outages have resulted in campaigns that overpace and incur needless costs (however, this is certainly an exception, not the rule).

  • I can't report hard numbers, however, being able to execute sales and marketing campaigns led to a noticeable increase in brand awareness in our industry.
  • We were able to offer white-labeled email communication services to clients, which is not something that other administrators typically offer. This helped us win and retain business.
