Bloomfire has been terrific for housing and surfacing things like case studies, test results, forms (like expense reports), regularly updated documentation, brand and style guides, and more. The only place we've experienced frustration is when the documentation is highly technical, but Bloomfire links out to external sources well and is easy to navigate. So we've used it to create context around the technical documentation and then linked to the original sources or the person in the company who is the expert on that documentation.

Chorus.ai

On demos and discovery calls, we use them religiously to make sure we catch everything. We also let the prospect know that we use it so we can make sure we don't miss any details. They also help us take good notes for Salesforce.It may be less appropriate for internal meetings where there can be a lot of false positives in keywords and a lot of useless conversations.

Pros

Bloomfire

  • The search feature is second to none. This was one of the primary reasons we went with BF. The categorization and tagging increases the ability to find documents quickly and accurately among the vast amount of information we have accessible.
  • The way BF handles the multiple file types and displays them beautifully for our customers and support staff is excellent. The ability to download and/or send links directly to this content is invaluable. No more storing it locally or having out of date documents circulating in the company. Everything is kept current on BF and all employees know this is their first stop when searching for a particular subject.
  • The mobile app is fantastic for providing all the same features of the browser version so our people can always have it at the ready.

Chorus.ai

  • Update emails -- Chorus.ai recently started sending recommended calls for users to listen to, indicating topics that were discussed in the call. This puts Chorus.ai top-of-mind for me since I'm not an active daily user. But it made me aware that we could utilize a specific call for a particular competitor analysis.
  • Love the ability to tag certain points in the call for follow-up from other team members.
  • Transcription -- Chorus.ai transcribes each call, which makes it great for quick review and testimonial follow-up from a product marketing perspective.

  • Sometimes the search is too deep for users and displays too much. Showing the most used of viewed documents would be better.
  • The editor can hang up sometimes and you think you saved but didn't.
  • User management can be awkward sometimes, you remove a user and they are still active.

  • Would be nice to be able to summon Chorus from WITHIN zoom.
  • Would be nice to allow tagging some recordings as private so that they are not accessible to everyone in the library.
  • Would be nice to be able to selectively use for INTERNAL discussions for similar use cases (but needs to be able to 'lock down' access on a need to know basis).

I gave it this rating because I truly feel its a valuable resource to have. Knowing that at the end of every call, you have a solid recording that is using smart technology to help pull out insights, next steps and more. Also, knowing tyhat it can help me with training any new reps and any current reps on how to do this is valuable.

Chorus has a great user experience. It is very easy to navigate and figure out. You do not need anyone to walk you through the usage and process as it is very easy to determine on your own, even if you are not a technologically savvy person. It is very easy to use in a variety of settings and the organizational structure makes it even easier to navigate.

I personally have not had too many major issues with Chorus, but the times that I have reached out to their customer support team I have always received great responses in a very timely manner. Their support team is trained in a very polite way and cares about resolving your issue. They are knowledgeable and helpful and the customer service line does not take long to connect to a real individual.

Bloomfire

Bloomfire was selected before I was hired & we are now moving to Higher Logic. I believe they thought we would need it as a knowledge base which it is good for vs. a true online community. I have learned that it is missing the "community" feel and that is why we are changing vendors.

In my experience here at Mavenlink, I have not evaluated any other tools. I have been using Chorus.ai here for the entirety of my career here. I have not used any other tools. I have been really liking Chorus.ai and do not intend on evaluating or using any other tool.

  • Time. Bloomfire has reduced repetitive questions by 70% or more.
  • Engagement. Many employees work as a single individual. Companies have gatherings and meetings to not only share information but to engage its workforce. Bloomfire, as a social knowledge base, allows for engagement - community - each-and-every day.

  • Reduced ramp time for new reps, definitely! I used Chorus.ai recordings to learn from when I was starting at a new company. It records audio and visual, and is great for demo training.
  • ROI wise, I cannot speak to. I was not the decision maker on this investment.
