Capabilities of the former DiscoverOrg product are now supplied by ZoomInfo, since the merger of DiscoverOrg and ZoomInfo into a single brand in 2019.

ZoomInfo Sales is a modern go-to-market platform for B2B companies. ZoomInfo Sales helps find buyers based on an Ideal Customer Profiles (ICP), advanced company attributes, and accurate contact information in B2B. It is used to identify the next customer using data-driven insights and buying signals that reveal companies that are ready to buy.
ZoomInfo acquired DiscoverOrg and I believe legacy DiscoverOrg will phase out in the near future. ZoomInfo is 100x better than DiscoverOrg and are very pleased with it's functionality and easy of use. We only selected DiscoverOrg because we were on an auto-renewal contract and …
DiscoverOrg is comparable to ZoomInfo but has different industry searches, the struggle is the data isn't always accurate in ZoomInfo due to people switching jobs and the system not being manually researched. DiscoverOrg is a great source for industries that they maintain.
DiscoverOrg stand at top and ZoomInfo is also good, but the recent acquisition of it by DiscoverOrg doesn't leave any doubt not to use DiscoverOrg. DiscoverOrg has the best data in terms of companies and also with different locations( depends on which country/territory your …
DiscoverOrg is enterprise-level ready - from its detailed filtering, sales-minded UI/UX, amazing CSM's and AM's, easy SFDC integration, to automatically updating your sales databases with better contact information.
Data.com and Zoom Info have integrated with DiscoverOrg. Now DiscoverOrg is much more expensive, but the data is very similar to Data.com/Zoom Info. What you are paying for is the ease of use and some perks like having some LinkedIn URLs available in DiscoverOrg. When all is …
So we switched from ZoomInfo to DiscoverOrg before they merged into one company. Now both solutions are combined, so there is not a multitude of vendors in the data/sales intelligence space. Originally we switched off ZoomInfo because we didn't like their "tokens for lead" …
Quite frankly, based on my usage, the information at ZoomInfo was typically more accurate than the information at DiscoverOrg. Now that DiscoverOrg has acquired ZoomInfo, perhaps the accuracy of the data will improve.
We actually use all 3 tools of ZoomInfo, LeadGenius & Sales Navigator. We use Sales Navigator a lot to search for the right titles like Corp Dev & Strategy roles and then use ZoomInfo to append the data into our Salesforce. The process takes a lot longer, but it is very …
We selected DiscoverOrg against them because of their quality of data, the quantity of data and strong customer focus, yes they are very responsive and available 24*7 for any issue and this is something we were looking for. DiscoverOrg never fails us in it, they always …
I find it similar to other products. The main thing I like about DiscoverOrg though is how easy it is to go from DO's database into Salesforce while preserving the appropriate metadata for me to build lists so I can then export to Excel (while keeping tracking in SFDC on) to …
It does not stack up against them and I would not choose Discover org over them. The company I am with now using them and no option was given. Based on my exposure to the program if I were given the decision-making process I would opt for zoom info over Discover org and all …
In my opinion, DiscoverOrg is the weakest of the tools that I have used thus far. I am a big fan of the tool it purchased, RainKing. I think that they have it figured out and are doing a great job.
I didn't like the interface or organization as much. There's a possibility for false info to be fed because it's "user driven," which can give you the wrong info. DiscoverOrg gets to the meat of what you want and leaves out uncertainties. ZoomInfo has some contacts DiscoverOrg …
DiscoverOrg is a good product. They provide a decently deep level of industry, company, lead/contact information, and they provide a well rounded assortment of filters to ensure that data is tailored to specific needs. The quality of their data is not always extremely high, …
ZoomInfo does not have the accuracy of data that DiscoverOrg provides, which actually cost me time when researching contacts because I would waste efforts on prospects whose information wasn't correct. DiscoverOrg also has a much better support team that can help me when …
Much better overall quality product. It takes longer and has more errors in uploading leads, that is really my only complaint. Everything else has been seamless and have many great tools within the product. I definitely recommend it!
I have not evaluated many other products besides ZoomInfo. Prior to this, I was using DiscoverOrg, which is a partner of ZoomInfo. DiscoverOrg did not give me the full breadth of coverage that I was looking for when it came to new contacts. ZoomInfo overall does give me a …
I usually use ZoomInfo and LinkedIn Sales Navigator hand in hand, double-checking the information on both of the systems. I also used DiscoverOrg in a previous role but now that they have joined their systems together it is hard to get much better than the two of them combined.
I'm currently using DiscoverOrg, and in comparison I would say they are relatively the same with the main difference being the larger database available on ZoomInfo. I would say the UI is very similar, with both being very user friendly.
I have only used its sister product, DiscoverOrg, that seems to be powered and or owned by ZoomInfo. It had less functionality than ZoomInfo and the ability to integrate and bulk import into Salesforce was limited. I think ZoomInfo has higher data fidelity and is just generally …
For ease of use, ZoomInfo is by far the best. Having been used to DiscoverOrg for some time, you get used to ways of finding things you are looking for. So that took some time to adjust. However, the rich and accurate data, is something I find immensely different.
Leaps above everyone else! From the interval of data updates, to the quality of data, and even ancillary products like Form Fill. We were on DiscoverOrg and it was a no-brainer to upgrade to ZoomInfo

I have used LinkedIn, DiscoverOrg and Zoominfo before DiscoverOrg was acquired by ZoomInfo. I mostly depend on ZoomInfo for contact details and Org charts perspective which is much better represented in ZoomInfo than any other portal. As an experience sales professional I still …
Zoominfo is a great tool that has had the most robust data I've seen. It seems to encompass the majority of our accounts and provides a wide breadth of data for each account as well. I haven't found many other tools that provide any more data/depth of data than Zoominfo does.
I used to use DiscoverOrg, but it was acquired by ZoomInfo. I also looked at a few other options in the past, but none were as good or robust as ZoomInfo.
ZoomInfo is much better than DiscoverOrg. They do not provide enough news on the company, which I find to be important when talking to prospects. The look of the software is very out of date compared to ZoomInfo as well. ZoomInfo is also more expensive than our last provider, …
ZoomInfo has the most comprehensive global database including mobile phone numbers for contacts and accounts. There was no other competitor who was close to the database size. The integration with Salesforce, Marketo and Salesloft was important for us. We used to have …
This is by far the best and most accurate tool I have used. The features go beyond what most people will need. The lists and email alerts are wonderful. We love the Salesforce integration which makes exporting Leads a breeze. The List Match is an awesome feature.
While there are other companies out there that pride themselves on more stringent data quality, most of them like the breadth of data that ZoomInfo provides. I feel like ZoomInfo has the best mix of data quality and coverage on the market. They are also able to be innovative …
Much more robust, however Crunchbase has access to corporate reports, which is useful. If ZoomInfo could pull relevant info from 10ks, that would be awesome.
We've found that this platform outperforms all others. We've used, evaluated, or otherwise decided to pass on numerous other platforms. All of which seemingly came up short of what ZoomInfo has to offer. The drilldown ability on numerous points has proved invaluable as we …
We chose Zoominfo over Lead411 because it seems they had everything we needed at the right price. ZoomInfo not only lets us have manual search capabilities, but also we can buy full lists in bulk. Discover.org rep only followed up with me after 2 months, but the price was too …
Uses [of DiscoverOrg] include searching for prospects in accounts. Getting all of the relevant contact information in one place. Using the export button saves time by allowing you to select one or more leads to import into CRM. Sophisticated search allows for you to build lists, and export as above. Good support with various experts available to help you get started and get better at using it.
Providing and verifying contact info. as in phone # or email. I use daily. Also to verify new roles when previous contact is no longer there. One thing I'd like to see it be able to do better and maybe I haven't seen it, is to group contacts in large companies that are in many states or regions together. Easily provide that funnel to pertinent states or regions where territories are handled by different reps and you're not wasting time deciphering if it is a good contact for you or not
Prospecting Lists/Lead Gen - Discover Org does this very well because of it's ability to provide current information (email/phone) on an individual at a company. It's easy to segment & drill down by categories - to find the right targets to reach out to.
Insights - DiscoverOrg is great at providing insights or "scopes" on prospects as well. Meaning it will show who is handling what project (Decision-Maker) and what projects they are particularly interested in at the moment/what initiatives. For example, the scopes may show that they are interested in AI initiatives or a Merger & Acquisition or Digital Transformation & will say who is in charge of the initiative.
Stellar filtering capabilities - you can filter lists in so many ways. You can go by function, or even look at companies with small marketing teams (let's say less than 10), or you can search for companies with an "x" amount of $ budget for IT spend. Or even companies that use a specific HR workplace management system.
Zoominfo provides us scoops regarding any new upcoming project or pain points (difficulties) facing by certain companies which helps a lot in our business to contact such companies.
Zoominfo gives us the exaction info such as email address, Direct or Cell phone number of particular contact which we want and we don't get anywhere except zoominfo
Zoominfo has huge database. Intent is one of the favorite section where we get the exact info about the companies/industries which we want
Zoominfo Connects with Hubspot which is another benefit for us to add any specific contact directly to our HubSpot app.
Improvement on the search capabilities - since there is so much to search (which is a plus) it makes it harder to do this in a timely manner. You have to dedicate a certain amount of time to be able to pull a proper, useful and clean list.
Make it more user friendly - there are so many different tabs, search buttons, pull down, etc. I think it can be quite confusing to a new user.
For initial users, the system can be a little overwhelming. A ZoomInfor SalesOS Basics guide could be beneficial to keep new users from feeling lost amongst all the options.
Clearer instructions on how to set targeted search parameters for inbound information would be beneficial.
The tool is simply better than most other lead/company data repositories, and they are dedicated to keeping their data clean, even if they are far from accomplishing this task at present. The tool works, and it is relatively easy to use. Overall, DiscoverOrg provides the level of lead/contact, customer, and even industry level data the sales orgs have come to expect from this sort of tool in a format that is fairly easy to use. They do also provide support for sales teams looking to use the tool effectively, which is great!
With the combined resources of crowdsorced info on both data.com as well as the immediacy of info on LinkedIn, as well as intel on Hoovers, information provided on ZoomInfo is more readily available if you have the time to invest in looking for it. However, at the pace we do business, having a "one stop shop" for information is very convenient. On efficiency alone, ZoomInfo is worth the price of subscription considering our business model.
Overall super simple to use. You do not need any training to use it, just a couple of minutes as it is very intuitive. I love using it because it has everything in one place except cadence. The filters on accounts and prospects is very easy to use as well.
There would have nice while providing a great platform to use, to have an in person class to show how it would best serve us and to navigate. Nothing was provided to myself outside of having a sign on and the preloaded steps to get through basic processes
ZoomInfo acquired DiscoverOrg and I believe legacy DiscoverOrg will phase out in the near future. ZoomInfo is 100x better than DiscoverOrg and are very pleased with it's functionality and easy of use. We only selected DiscoverOrg because we were on an auto-renewal contract and did not unsubscribe in time. We did not plan to renew DiscoverOrg. But since then we have been upgraded to ZoomInfo and are finding much more value in that platform than we did in DiscoverOrg.
There’s a few not listed. All in all, ZoomInfo Sales is an essential tool if you’re hunting hard and often. The AI functionality is superior to anything else I’ve used. However, if you’re a come and go, now and then prospector you can get by with other search engines that are “static” or seeming to be lacking in current data. LI Sales Nav is great, but you’re not going to get ahold of normal mid level people on there, and contact details are protected. The biggest competitive benefit here is you get everything you could possibly want to know, I’m not aware of any other product that can hang.
After using DiscoverOrg, our lead are now well qualified and suitable. We are able to generate good and qualified. This is the positive impact.
After using DiscoverOrg, our sales team is now able to cold call the target contacts, the number provided by DiscoverOrg, the interaction held is now increased and we are able to produce good leads.
After using DiscoverOrg, we are able to understand better because of their reports and dashboards which is very informative.
