Gong vs. Showpad eOS® vs. Wingman (legacy product)

I think Gong is well suited when you are having a company that makes a lot of calls to clients or receives a lot of calls. It is very important. I think, from a business standpoint, to log all of the calls and conversations that are had to use in case anything ever comes up. Also, just to make sure that your employees are doing well on the calls, because you cannot monitor every single call personally. Having this as a reference point to listen to things that might be important versus not is awesome. it might be less appropriate if you are not really interacting a ton with the clients. If you are more so just doing business meetings, then it might not be needed. However, I do think it's a great tool overall because it provides the AI note recap from the calls and logs everything that might be helpful for any reason

Any person who is interested in understanding the level of engagement from a client needs Showpad. It is a must-have software if you have people within your organization that are customer-facing. If your role is primarily communicating with employees within your own organization, then this software might not be as useful to you. For those in sales, account management, or who needs to know if your recipient has seen your emails/content, this is a useful tool.

Wingman would be well suited for any organisation with more than 5+ reps in their sales team. Recording all the demo calls will create a playbook which will help the reps learn from each other and also to ramp up new reps with how to conduct the demo and discovery calls

• User-Friendly. The ability to easily customize to fit your needs
• Delivering content easily and quickly, reducing cost for print, and out of date information

• Filtering calls by keywords - saves you time so that you don't have to listen to entire calls.
• Creating game tapes - so that you can easily onboard new team members.

• A history tracker (similar to Google Sheets/Excel) - it'd be nice to see WHO was changing certain fields and when exactly.
• Dark mode.
• A quick checklist when getting started to ensure I'm getting the most out of the platform (e.g., Gong Connect, Gong Import).

• Version control is an issue. Would be nice to go back to previous versions of a file.
• The in-app viewing experience feels a little rigid. Prefer to download the files before viewing.
• The main landing page is a little more cluttered than I would like.

• Searching for specific calls (you can scroll through the list, but that takes time)
• The dashboard isn't as user friendly as it could be, but a seasoned user can navigate it just fine
• The AI-driven insights aren't always accurate but are still very useful nonetheless

I don't make these decisions for our company, but I would highly encourage our use of Gong to continue. Gong has been very helpful in my sales role in terms of staying organized and on top of accounts, completing actions in a timely manner, and moving deals forward with better insights

I think Wingman is one of the best software in their segment. Very few companies are cost-effective and offer similar solutions.

It does great for all the things I've mentioned. I didn't give it a 10/10 because I still think there is room to improve as far as improving the quality of the insights that are more actionable. I.e. this happened so you should think about doing this thing as a next step.

Super user friendly tool! There are some features that I think might be improved over time, like navigation assistance or tutorials, and quick tips, like how to ensure calls always get recorded, how to add Wingman to calls last-minute, or how to use their playlist feature Game Tapes, but those are nice to haves, not need to haves.

I give them a 10 because, I have been using Gong for over a year now and have never had issues or concerns go un resolved in a day or two. Their communication is impeccable and their tech support is very hands on and prompt

I have not been involved with support from Showpad so I am not entirely sure. However, we have received some emails from our help desk about an outage and it seems like it didn't last very long so I would say that it was pretty effective support to that extent.

It stacks up in a different way. All of these companies try to do some feature that Gong does. Like Call recording, call analysis, AI discovery, Forecasting and Sales Activity tracking. Gong beats most, Otter.ai is a growing competitor though.

The only option our company used was cloud-based file-sharing services (Box, Dropbox, etc) and emails like Outlook or Gmail. Both options make it hard for version control and for ease of navigation. Generally, end-users had an easier time finding content on Showpad.

Gong is expensive but it has a lot better AI/Intelligence feature compared to Wingman. Wingman definitely does the job, is cheap, and also support is pretty amazing and I personally like Shruti a lot in terms of what she is doing in this space. Also, Wingman is in an Indian company.

• I don't have specific metrics since this feature isn't used in my job personally, but I do know that our sales and CS teams use Gong with SFDC opportunities to help with forecasting closed won opportunities based on intent captured within the call.

• Training of new Sales representatives has gone from 1 month to 2 weeks using Wingman as part of the training tools.
• The transcripts have also helped us to decrease the number of disputes "Lost" on Stripe, by providing evidence needed to win the case.
