Used Domino/Lotus Notes (IBM) for a long time and just was not as usable in a day to day and team environment. Did not have much choice at the time and using other products like Libre and Google products just didn't have the transparency or cross functionality I was used to …

The alternative solutions do not contain all of the features of Microsoft 365 Business Premium. They cover only the Office application requirements.

Chose Microsoft 365 Business Premium
Not included in the list above is the Google G-Suite of applications and their line of Office-like productivity tools. In our evaluation of both office platforms, we chose MS Office 365 Business due to the extended platform of applications, native support for OneDrive cloud …

Chose Microsoft Teams
The main advantage of Microsoft Teams over these suites comes down to interfacility with other Microsoft Programs used ubiquitously in the office. Both of the other softwares have advantages in other respects for VoIP and group management, but Teams just fits in with the other …

Microsoft continues to release professional products for personal and business uses. Having all solutions accessible via cloud or internet access has enhanced usability for all products to work in conjunction with each other. My organization uses this solution because our …
Chose Microsoft Teams
Microsoft Teams is a clear winner for robustness and for integration. It has the entire Office 365 toolkit in its corner and for an enterprise level solution, it doesn't have many peers, at least at that level of comprehensiveness. There are some peers that might compete well …

Chose Microsoft Teams
I chose to migrate to Microsoft Teams as I had grown tired with Slack, which has lacking customer service, limited storage, and had been experiencing frequent outages over the past while, causing my workflow to come to a stop.
Chose Microsoft Teams
Microsoft 365 provides us with the Teams software. It is very good software, and that's why we are using this.
Chose Microsoft Teams
Compared to Skype for Business, i think Teams is a more lighter software, no bugs or lags, like when using Skype we used to have. It is more complete when you talk about setting up meetings or conferences. Also, when in a conference, it has a great quality of audio and video. …

Microsoft
Microsoft 365 Business Premium is well suited to any size organization and is a must-have for business purposes. It is a vital component for the majority of work software needs, as the Microsoft 365 Business Premium package has apps to handle needs that I didn't know we had. It is a great way to provide the required software programs to teams, especially those that work remotely due to the great sharing capabilities built into it. Furthermore, the nonprofit program provided our small nonprofit with vital components for our remote work, while allowing us to keep our donated funds going directly to our mission.

It is well-suited for an organization with many team members who are scattered throughout different locations. It offers organization and clarity to projects, files, and tasks in one centralized location. It would be a bit of an overkill for a small organization where everyone is in the same location 5 days a week

Pros
Microsoft
  • Work in sync in different departments.
  • Being able to work from any device or computer. It is a very noble tool in different devices.
  • The work between the different programs (Word, Excel, Notes) that it offers is extremely light and good.

Microsoft
  • Makes communication and collaboration easier through Chat.

Cons
Microsoft
  • adding calendar invitations is not straight forward
  • copying folders from SharePoint libraries to an external drive should not be relying on the available space on the C drive
  • administering mailboxes for our company is convoluted forcing me to hunt for settings and options
  • lack of flexibility on the location of the OST and PST files
  • the new version should not do away with PST files but rather improve their reliability.
  • the PST internal structure is inefficient. the PST file should be able to shrink automatically when one delete emails.

Microsoft
  • the calendar function can improve it's not 100% feature parody with outlook.
  • Better search for documents and contact with AI
  • offer the same security for document sharing as is available in outlook. Especially concerning PII and documents shared to "external" contacts.
  • Contact is hidden away in "Calls" and needs to be better exposed like it use too.

Microsoft Teams is included with our Office 365 subscription and we have no intention of migrating off of Office 365 and Microsoft products. Since Microsoft Teams is included for free with our Office 365 subscription, and since we enjoy all the features, benefits, and functionality, there is no question that our team will continue to use the product

Usability
Microsoft
The basic apps are straightforward and easy to use, especially since they have been around so long. I'm referring to the basic apps like Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, OneNote, etc. Other features such as Microsoft Teams and Sharepoint Sites, Sharepoint Lists, Sharepoint Groups, etc. all require a higher level of knowledge to both implement and use properly

If you have the full Microsoft Office suite, it works really well because it's integrated well within its ecosystem, but if not, it can be annoying because it tries to open a shared file in the web versions of the file equivalents. The web version is also a bit slow, and the login is very difficult to handle if you have multiple Microsoft or Outlook accounts.

Performance
Microsoft
In the last 5 years, Microsoft has come a long way. The performance of the products has become more and more user-friendly and it seems that the feedback provided by the user community is being listened to and worked on. The processes are very fast and seamless. There are negligible errors and doesn't slow the systems down.

Support Rating
Microsoft
As mentioned elsewhere in the review, Microsoft has historically paid attention to community feedback and issues, but timeliness can improve, and so can the addressing of long-standing issues about which many users have said "I have this issue too!" but no official solution exists. For issues that do have a solution, however, the solution is usually not difficult to find, and the explanation of features on Microsoft's website can mitigate many problems.

The overall support provided by Microsoft for Microsoft Teams has been quite good but there is still some room for improvements. Microsoft needs to proactively work on fixing the open bugs in order to provide a seamless experience to the users. But over the service and experience provided by the Microsoft team have been quite satisfactory.

Alternatives Considered
Microsoft
Before migrating to Microsoft 365 Business Premium, we possessed an in-house exchange server. Therefore, it was difficult for us to look at alternatives to Microsoft for a solution – we did look at the Google Suite of products, but the transition for us seemed less cumbersome to stay with Microsoft from a staff and administrative perspective. While the G Suite does offer us many outstanding products and services, we also didn’t feel that Gmail is up-to-par as a corporate solution the way Exchange/Outlook/OWA are – this alone was also a driving force for our end-users, as there was minimal transition for them to move from an on-premise solution to an off-premise solution. The additional features of SharePoint, Teams, Project, and so many other applications within Microsoft 365 also helped us make a strong case to stay with Microsoft and expand what we were using. The end-user and mobile protections of InTune have also put us at ease when issuing laptops and mobile phones to an almost fully-remote end-user base.

Microsoft Teams offers a much more integrated experience between their chat and video call function compared to Google Chat and Slack. Both other tools are much better for internal communications are they have simpler UI without other features. Whereas Microsoft Teams can be used for more critical conversations, particularly between external companies, and has been very useful in sales conversations which is what we chose it for when speaking to companies that work exclusively through Microsoft.

Honestly, this tool is worth every penny. Yes, it's not free and you pay for the quality of services and the license. But the ROI and the benefits are all there. Also, the renewal, negotiation, and contract terms are all very well explained by our Microsoft account manager, and she's a charm.

I used Skype for Business to take calls, hold conferences, and provide remote assistance to users. Microsoft Teams, on the other hand, is superior to Skype for Business in my opinion. My job entails a lot of screen sharing.

  • We can now keep work going from anywhere. It doesn't matter if we are on a job site or sitting in the office or working from home for a day or two we don't have to miss a beat.
  • It has unified how we store information so that everything isn't stored on individual computers

  • Because our unit decided to go all in with Microsoft Products, the integration and flow of our communication and files are seamless.
  • Microsoft Teams is very secure. Only those who are logged in with their university credentials can access the files we share and the events we host. Therefore, we don't have to worry about privacy and security for the virtual events we host.
  • If our virtual events are open to the public, joiners outside the organization often struggle to join because Microsoft Teams is not the most familiar tool amongst the public.
