Buffer is used across the whole organization as a way to manage, upload, and schedule social media for our clients. It helps us manage our workflow, avoid task bottlenecks as well as analyze our outputs so that we may best adapt our strategy for our clients online. The Instagram stories analysis and report system allow us to adjust our strategies according to where its strengths and weaknesses are.
  • Good multi-platform scheduling option
  • Easy to track scheduled content in one place
  • If you want to change a post that has been scheduled across a few social platforms, you can't. This is a feature I would like to see updated.
  • Sometimes scrolling down to see what has been scheduled is tedious. I would like to see a calendar view.
Buffer is well suited if your client is new to you and not well-versed in the technological sides of social media. It is intuitive and straightforward, which makes it a breeze for most people to use. This is a feature that is well appreciated. It is less appropriate if you have many clients for whom you are managing multiple platforms. The layout is simple, and it can feel restrictive.
Online media strategy, analytics, website, and brand design, as well as brand management, are all functions of the users who use buffer in the organization.

  • Positive: great introduction to roll out a brand and social media strategy.
  • Positive: intuitive and minimalist layout means you get all the essentials to help you succeed.
Buffer holds its own against Agorapulse, and its intuitive and minimalistic platform means you can do exactly what you need to do on a small scale. This is something that brings me back to the platform again and again - the ease of use. Agorapulse handles more content and complex operations slightly better, however.
The platform layout is easy to get familiarised with as well as implement the various needs you have of its software. There are prompts and easy to understand. This makes Buffer feel like it has overall good levels of usability. The visual representation of the various features, as well as confirmations of tasks completed, also greatly contribute to the overall feeling of usability.
The support that Buffer offers is comprehensive and timely. The platform itself is designed in such a way that anticipates potential issues - thus mitigating them before they arrive.

The mobile interface integrates really well with the social media apps! However, there are silly things that you would have to do on the desktop app like reconnecting an account which make the mobile app slightly less optimal
