[Google Charts is] being used primarily as a departmental tool in finance.
  • Presentation of data
  • Accumulation of large amounts of data
  • Easy way to view data
  • [The] interface on using graphs
  • Formatting of graphs
  • Being able to copy data over
Very well suited in order to put presentations together and to have an executive summary of information.

We leverage Google Charts for analyzing and visualizing spreadsheet data across multiple business domains. This ensures that our data stays within trusted regulatory boundaries and is easily shareable with fellow stakeholders without downloading and sharing multiple versions offline. The charts are responsive and user-friendly and easy to export to PDF reports for management to review.
  • Beautiful visualizations.
  • Easy integration with Google Sheets.
  • Easy export to PDF.
  • More chart types for scientific charts.
  • Support for more mathematical equations in formulas.
  • Ability to pull in dynamic data from more 3rd party services.
Great solution for organizations that are already heavily invested in the Google GSuite universe. Ability to pull in data from multiple Google services is super easy, but we wish they supported more 3rd party integrations. Works particularly well with Google Sheets, which most of our users use and is quite a smooth integration.

Google Charts is a great chart and visualization tool for a lot of our data. Our operations team mainly uses the software, and sometimes our sales team does as well. We solve the problems of being able to create and present data in a visually pleasing way so that we can manage our business effectively.
  • Data visualization.
  • Charting.
  • Intuitive.
  • Customer support.
  • Cost.
  • Customization.
Great for charts that do not need to be 100% accurate or super customized. It is way better for a scenario where you have a bunch of data and you want to present it in a visually pleasing way that makes it easy for the reader to be able to see.

We were able to take specific information and customize organizational charts as well as company financials efficiently. I was able to give clear visual presentations to the owners and management team that made the information easier to understand.
  • Google Charts allows you to custom code the colors, shapes, etc. of each chart.
  • The templates allow you to easily select the type of chart that you want to begin with.
  • The charts are easy to share with others via a link or embedding it into a site.
  • To allow more people to easily use the software, limiting the coding options may help. Although, this is also what I like about it.
  • The software is very comprehensive and may have too many options for people to choose from.
This product worked well for me when using it for multiple hospitals. I was able to easily create a chart and then customize it for each specific business without completely starting over. The product may be a little over kill for a smaller business that is less driven by big data. Smaller companies may find it easier to use a similar software like Google Sheets to create their charts.

We use Google Charts in the warranty department to manage ongoing service requests. The current software we use is a CRM and does not accurately provide reporting information for tracking purposes. We chose to use Google Charts to create displays for a number of reporting our purposes in correspondence with our current CRM software to compensate for what it lacks.
  • Diverse charts
  • Customizable
  • Easy to use
  • Easy to read and interpret
  • Not able to customize color bars
We have used Google Charts to display the departments over all task load, the turn around time for these tasks, break downs of the number of tasks for each of the staff handling these tasks, including the number of tasks that are accomplished on a daily, weekly, monthly and annual basis. However, more specific information such as description of these tasks are not accessible from these charts.

I use Google Charts organization-wide in order to gather desperate pieces of data and information and report back to our Board of Directors and other staff members about how we are tracking for our goals. It enables me to put data points together in a professional manner that is easy for all of our supporters and organizational stakeholders to understand.
  • The designs that Google Charts have available are incredibly slick.
  • Saving and sharing charts made on Google Charts is really easy - I can put together a report for our stakeholders in no time.
  • The customization piece on Google Charts is really intuitively designed.
  • I would like a couple more introductory videos or a live chat option for when you run into an issue. I think this is a Google-wide problem, not only linked to Google Charts.
  • I have run into some issues with the Dynamic Data but also admittedly could potentially dive in deeper and investigate.
  • It would be great if Google Charts made it possible to integrate Google Chat into the platform.
Google Charts is absolutely well-suited for putting together reports for outside stakeholders or making clear trends that are happening with your business or nonprofit organization. It's helpful because it immediately makes your information and data look more professional and is great for folks that are more visual learners on your team. It's less appropriate for data that has multiple points and would be better in Google Sheets.

Google Charts is used to organize and analyze information, and as a useful tool for tracking relationships and event registration. Used by many departments and between different departments and employees. Easy to share and add users for additional contributions, also easy to save a pdf, or print a hard copy to save information.
  • Very easy to share, with different settings so users can share information or invite others to edit
  • User friendly, easy to pick up if you've used excel or other spreadsheet programs
  • Easy to do basic formatting
  • Some formatting options that are available in excel are not available in Google Charts, and some formatting options that are available in Google Charts are glitchy
  • Copying a sheet or chart is not as simple as it could be. Would also be great to be able to copy formatting from different cells or sheets.
Well-suited to creating spreadsheets or charts that need to be shared between many users, edited in real time, and/or accessed remotely. Less well suited for really complex data or things that need a lot of formatting.

It's great because my work email and use of this application are all linked together into one system. Creating something that is elegant and visually easy to read is a breeze. I use Google Chart to demonstrate analytics for traffic on our website and the use of Google Chart Tools made it possible.
  • It's free!
  • Cross-platform availability and highly configurable.
  • Requires a continuous network connection to use.
  • Not as detailed as other tools, such as Tableau.
It is appropriate when making charts. Adding in data to charts is easy to do. Also, these charts are easily integrated with HTML so that it is easy to configure with a website. Not appropriate for those who are not comfortable with basic scripting. Not as intuitive for mapping trends within a certain industry.

As our organization works on huge amount of data, in order to analyze the data its needed to be in the required format. By uisng the google chart the data is being organized in the well manner. It is mostly used in the marketing department and helps to study the current marketing affairs
  • By Google charts the user can analyze the data in a standard format.
  • It is easy to operate and can be used in the Organization Website
  • As it works dynamically so keeps changing as per the changes in the data collection, and present the results accordingly
  • As its easy to represent, but the implementation is too tough.
  • I had applied it to my website so any problem with the database would lead to failure
  • Requires different js file that are to be included for implenting the Google Charts
For providing the data group to represent it to others from a huge database, then Google charts is the best way. As with the help of charts you can easily represent the data in the form of bar chart or pie diagram which will be easy to get and have a better understanding of the data.

Google Charts is used across the whole organization to easily share basic charts in our presentations. We really like using a cloud-based solution, so we can collaborate more easily.
  • Shareable graphics.
  • Presentation worthy charts.
  • Customized data visuals.
  • It doesn't have all the same functions as Excel.
  • We can't use two different scales in the same chart.
  • It requires Wi-fi.
Google Charts is really great for simple visualizations that you want to collaborate with your peers on. More customization is difficult to implement.

Google Charts is being used across our entire organization as we became a Google For Work company. It has replaced Microsoft Office products, primarily Microsoft Excel.
It allows for improved sharing of documents across departments. Multiple users can access files, and we can track changes and usage to see what people are doing and how effective our tools have become.
  • Sharing tools between multiple users.
  • Good customization, though there is still more that can be done.
  • The availability of new formulas in Google Sheets that allow for SQL style programming.
  • Processing speed with relatively large datasets. 10000 rows across 15 columns takes some processing time to manipulate, even 1500 rows can take 1-2 minutes just to process.
  • More customization, particularly for visual improvements like color gradients. We're happy that finally the borders of charts can be removed.
  • Fix the #REF! errors for the IMPORTRANGE formula. If you want businesses to use your products, it can't break every day multiple times because your formula for some reason doesn't want to work. A refresh can fix it some of the time, but it shouldn't break period.
If you need to share information across multiple staff, it is a great tool. Being able to visually see other people working was a little weird at first, but it is very helpful to track progress. There are new ways to manipulate data in Google Sheets, with new formulas that let you create manual variable inputs to have graphs and charts update with your selections.

Google Charts is simple and has been used by my organization to fulfill the needs of design and implementing cheap, easy, and visually stunning charts for our survey data. We need these charts for our presentations to clients and to potential client-prospects to show their data in a way that is consumable and not intimidating or confusing.
  • Fast chart creation.
  • Functionally simple.
  • Pricing is great.
  • More complex list of chart types.
  • More features that would make these charts beautiful rather than basic.
  • Training sessions.
Google Charts is okay. There are others out there that will create the dashboard from your data charts and organize it in a way that makes and removes the responsibility from the user. Google Charts is something that is used when you need a specific chart immediately, don't want to spend a lot of time on it, and need to move on to your next task.

Google Charts has been an excellent resource for us when creating presentations that need interesting graphics to truly represent the data we would like to showcase. The resources that Google Charts has are amazing and always allow us to expand and compare to many different sources. Also, it is very easy to share among users and give permissions to new users, which is an excellent feature.
  • Excellent data sources
  • Sharing among different users
  • Security
  • Working on a project in tandem with a coworker at the same time can be tricky
Google Charts is well suited when you are working in a team environment and have to share a project with a colleague but do not want to send a working document back and forth. Google Charts allows us to share one working version and see previous document versions with ease.

Google charts is used by our office primarily to visually display budget and collection percentage information. Our collector keeps a nearly constant record of our collection percentage. Using Google Charts makes it easier to visually display those numbers for the rest of the office, the Commisioners, etc to see without having to read a whole written report.
  • Google charts is highly customizable. You can choose your colors, lines, overlays, points, font, and so many other features. There is also the option to insert events and animation into your chart.
  • Google Charts is easy to use. You choose your customizable settings, enter your data, and a chart a created for you.
  • Charts or graphs made using Google Charts can be embedded into or onto webpages, printed, or shared through email, etc.
  • Google Charts is FREE to use!
  • Google Charts can be used on nearly any platform or device and is all cloud based.
  • There are so many chart types to choose from (pie charts, timelines, bar chart, scatter chart, line chart, geo chart, table chart, and so many more).
  • Google Charts has the ability to use data from multiple sources such as Google sheets, Microsoft Excel, and Fusion tables.
  • Google Charts does require a network connection for all of it's functions to work properly.
Google Charts is a wonderful tool for anyone who needs to display numbers on a visual diagram or chart of some sort. Google Charts makes it easier to present numbers in an easy to read, professional manner.

We use Google Charts (both embedded in Google Sheets and the API) to graph out tabulated data in our Google Drive databases. It is used across the whole organization, and it replaces Excel—largely because collaborative work done on Google Drive services don't integrate well with Microsoft Office systems like Excel.
  • Integration with Google Slides and Docs
  • Simple graphs for presentations
  • Fast graphing/pie charts
  • Complex graphs for scientific publications
  • Exporting in vector format
  • Exporting to other applications in general
If you use Google Drive at all to do collaborative work between several people at your organization or to work remotely, it would be smart to learn how to use Google Charts. If you don't use Google Drive, Sheets, or Docs, then Google Charts has more limited functionality and does not make as much sense.

  • Different types of charts are available
  • Simple implementation in javascript code
  • Customizable
  • It's free!
  • When we want to show statistics showing charts is a must and it is very easy to implement charts in our app using Google Charts
  • We needed a customizable tool to start showing charts and Google Charts fit our needs

Google Charts is used as an alternative to basic excel plots. The program creates vibrant plots that really stand out and look great while being used as a medium to convert information.
  • Create visually appealing data graphs
  • Easy to use and incorporate into a variety of websites
  • Accepting different programs' languages would allow for easier use.
  • There's no way to perform high statistical calculations
Google Charts is a useful program when trying to incorporate data and plots into web pages. It is easy to use for those with basic computer and coding skills. However, for advanced plots and high-level statistics, it does not offer the power to get the job done.

Currently, the company is trying to implement Google Charts to build dashboards for the intranet reporting services website. We started the design by selecting Google Charts as a competitor for Microsoft Power BI, which is our current BI tool to set out the charts and dashboards. The main issue overseeing is that Google Charts needs the IT development skill set to integrate the demands of the business and the initial dashboards of the main production keystones of the different units of the organization. We really think this new solution can leverage the desire to build reports with the highest level of customization.
  • Variety of Charts templates
  • Allows me to make design changes from the very root code to the string of data source
  • Allows working with dashboards with multiple charts within it.
  • Google Charts is running a desktop app with the editor for HTML customized views will grant to the end user an endpoint tool likewise it's close competitor Power BI Desktop
  • If the end user is self-paced learner will need to read from the very HTML 5 & SVL basics to how to use the codes developed to load them up on as an embedded object.
  • A friendlier step by step how to guide for every single chart template.
Google Charts can fit in your company if you're seeking a resource that can be managed, customized and also deployed all over the web, mobile apps or just add as an embedded object within your website or intranet resources. Can do awesome things for Finance entrepreneurs who wanted to take out the most from reports, dashboards with statistical analysis with a wide data source.

For those who don't like web coding, or just get upset by handling crossing information from sheets to databases, this won't be the tool that fits with the business readiness that you might seek with IT developers that can understand the requirements wanted to be shown by Google Chart.

As part of our internal market research function, we maintain a collection of dashboards to monitor competitors, industry partners, and general market trends. Some of these dashboards are dynamic and pull data from external sources such as web queries or linked Excel files. The dashboards often contain charts that illustrate the trending of the data. The main consumers of the dashboards are the executive team.
  • Multi line trended line charts to show market share evolution
  • Pie charts to illustrate revenue breakdowns
  • Stacked area charts to show segmentation of industries
  • Exporting the charts could be more straightforward
  • Open the API to allow developers to create charts
  • Create a marketplace to purchase additional charts
Power users - people with advance computer knowledge in particular of HTML and general scripting - benefit the most from using Google Charts. However, regular users (such as financial analysts) might have a steeper learning curve to adopt and use Google Charts, in particular comparing off-the-shelf consumer options such as Microsoft Office (Excel) and/or Apple Numbers.

Google charts is used by a select team of data analysts and evaluators in my organization. We use google charts to show program evaluation data, which can be used to inform the public, for quality assurance, for legislators, or for grant applications.
  • Visualizing a lot of data in an easy-to-read way
  • Shareable content and easy to export data summaries
  • Collaboration tools on data sets
  • Learning curve for new users
  • More geographic tools/geographic data visualization
  • Education/demos on advanced tools are lacking
Google charts is a great tool for data analysts or front-end web developers who are looking to add some data and visualization to their products. Sharing outcomes is simple, and great for medium and large organizations. Users who are unfamiliar with programming or do not have experience with data visualization may struggle to start out with google Charts.

I started using google charts when it first came out. It's a great free tool to visualize your data in a dashboard format. Initially it was being used for the marketing team and later on expanded to other departments.
  • Simple interface
  • FREE!
  • Wide range of chart types
  • Easily customizable
  • Connects to API
  • I dont like the colors
  • Can't custom HTML
  • Adding annotations is not possible
  • Sometimes lags to load
  • Could be difficult for non-technical users

We are using Google Charts on public administration websites in order to show statistics coming from open data providers. These websites must provide open data information to the public and it's usually required by local law. There is a high volume of data and we need something to make it friendly and understandable. This is the main reason why we have chosen this component in our web development stack.
  • The GeoChart component is great if you need to render a map with data. You can customize it with different colors, regions, formats and everything in SVG format.
  • Google Charts has a very detailed documentation full of examples. The docs are also always updated with the latest version of the API and you don't have to google for extra information on other development websites.
  • The ability to connect Google Charts to an external database using any language or technology thanks to the JavaScript API.
  • The look and feel of the rendered charts should be updated, they are still using flat colors and they do not seem to follow the latest trends in web design.
  • It is hard to implement for non-technical users.
Google Charts is well suited when you have a lot of data coming from an Excel, CSV file or even a database table and you need to render it inside a website. You can provide a well-looking interactive preview of all your data. Google Charts also works great on mobile and tablet environments. Another great scenario is to use Charts to show network usage statistics inside a web application.

Google Visualization API was used in my last company as a reporting tool that allowed us to create charts and reporting applications over structured data. This helped integrate visual data directly into 'behind the scenes' web pages.
  • Very easy to learn and interactive.
  • Works well on all modern browsers.
  • It's free and includes maps.
  • Can read from Excel, Google Spreadsheets, SQL databases, CSV files and auto update.
  • Doesn't yet give as much customization ability as some other packages.
  • Doesn't give you sophisticated statistical processing.
  • Requires a network connection
Google Charts was able to do everything that I needed it to. I was creating simple reports that needed to automatically update and it worked beautifully.

Google Charts was used as a tester before being fully implemented. We started using it for internal meetings. We tried to use it along side the existing Microsoft suite of applications as well. We used it for tracking trends throughout various projects as well as locations.
  • Track and display information
  • Forward information to the web or website
  • Editing is easy to do on any computer or device
  • Very simple and sleek interface
  • It doesn't offer much more than charts
  • Sometimes it can be too simple
  • Lack of open-source
It's quite one dimensional. If you're dealing with graphs and such all day every day, this is a great program. But if you're looking for a simple program that will handle graphs and anything related to graphs, this program is likely a bit over-kill for that. The exception being in situations where you want a constantly updating chart or similar.

We use Google Charts conjunction with javascript and jquery libraries to achieve the visual impact on data visualization, especially in graphical reports, leaderboards and dashboards.
Google Charts provides us with a useful tool in our work throughout the organization. With Google Charts we attract new customers and cover our current clients expectations.
  • Great visual impact.
  • Wide range of options for customizing tolos.
  • Hey, its free!
  • Required online connection.
  • No manufacturer wrapper for programming languages like Java.
  • Some graphics are better alternatives in other libraries.
Google Charts is ideal for displaying synthesized, scaled and easy viewing information for almost any scenario where a web browser intervenes. However, for mobile applications, desktop or other platforms, it may not be the best alternative. Nor it is highly recommended for analysis when you are already using a dedicated Business Intelligence tool.
