A software packed full of all your needs but be ready to adjust and take some time to acclimate
I use Infinite Campus to input grades, daily attendance of students, contact logs, and to print report cards. I also use this software to access parent contact information as well as other important information about individual student behavior, custody arrangements, medical information that is necessary for me to know, etc..Infinite Campus is a hub that allows the business I work for to have all student data, both academic as well as personal, in one specific location.

- Has a basic structure to it where it is somewhat easy to use and operate within.
- Infinite Campus has a wide range of possible places to locate student and data information, allowing it to be the main source of use for a teacher like myself.
- Infinite Campus has a non-intuitive software, which could be more simplistic and user friendly.
- Infinite Campus has a non-inviting/an unwarm color scheme/font display/theme/background

- Infinite Campus has allowed me to easily take attendance no matter which device I am using.
- This software has been very tedious to navigate when looking for infrequent data that is not necessarily needed very often such as ELD levels and how to find the progress report option.
- Infinite Campus has demonstrated an inability to perform easily on all devices when going from one student's personal roster information to the next.
- This software has enabled me to easily set up grades for each specific content standard/skill when assigning one specific grade to the entire class, because it is the average grade, and then allowing me to specifically go in and change the outliers on these grades.

I find these other products to be much more simplified in their set up and user friendly where with Infinite Campus, it requires a good amount of time and patience to acclimate to the set up and arrangement of content. Also, the other products I have reviewed are more appealing to the eye with their color content/contrast, background themes/colors and engaging colors which make the experience enjoyable and calming.
The district and teachers use [Infinite Campus] in order to communicate information to parents. Parents can look up their child's attendance records, emergency contact information (among other personal information), receive important notifications, and even do online payments for school. There is a great amount of information available on Infinite Campus, so it is a good way to organize all of that important (and legal) information for parents and families. It also makes it easier whenever people need to register a child or update personal information since it is all in the same place.

- The message center is helpful, and it is easy to see when there is a new message
- The breakdown of attendance is done very well
- Signing up was difficult
- Logging in took time to figure out in the beginning

Tyler is a very versatile program. However, it is extremely cluttered, and many parents are overwhelmed by trying to navigate it to the point where they will not even use it. Tyler SIS allows parents to see similar information in addition to their child's grades, but the volume of information presented to them makes it almost unusable for many families. Infinite Campus may be more limited in what it provides, but it is much easier to use for parents.

Effective stand alone student information system but lacks extensive suite of integration tools
Infinite Campus is used across our entire district, from administration, faculty, and staff to students and parents. This application serves multiple purposes, some being an attendance and health record tracking system, a grade tracking system for faculty which also correlates to the communication system between faculty and students regarding grades as well as to parents. Lastly, we use this as a more enterprise method of email communication to parents for high level messaging.
- Infinite Campus sends out notifications timely without the delay that other systems sometimes encounter. This is important for students and when the end of semester deadlines loom.
- Infinite Campus is user-friendly from both the administrative side to the end-user side. It's intuitive and well documented.
- Infinite Campus does not integrate seamlessly with our learning management system. This is a big deal in that using Infinite Campus means our faculty and staff are asked to do more (fatigue) and there is more room for error to occur.
- Infinite Campus' platform is not visually appealing nor does the site design use enough colors and distinction to clearly convey progress to a user.
- Infinite Campus helped us to successfully meet our goals in the last Strategic Plan of establishing an electronic communication framework for academic progress between the district and parents.
- Issues with integration, or lack thereof, has resulted in loss of productivity and ultimately revenue since countless hours are dedicated to grading inputs that would have otherwise been spent on fulfilling other institution needs.
Infinite Campus was easier for us to see the benefit of when making a purchasing decision. The competitors we were considering came as components of larger models and it became confusing to us which benefits of the products would be available to us only purchasing their student information system. In hindsight and due to the integration issues we have encountered, it would have behooved our efforts to further explore a software that had multiple products already (learning management system).
