Overall Satisfaction with ADP Workforce Now

We use ADP Workforce Now for our whole organization. Before we used it, our payroll, scheduling, PTO, and benefits were all on different platforms. Having them all accessible in one place has been the best-addressed problem. Giving our employees access to their employment information has improved relations between our corporate level and entry levels.
  • Recruitment.
  • Time Off mangement.
  • Department schedule budget planning.
  • Recruitment application flow.
  • No negative impact.
For a payroll processing system, it works just fine. The scheduling capabilities could be better. Able to plan around your budget before schedules are approved and posted.
  • LinkedIn
I haven't been able to integrate it completely. My LinkedIn rep said that we should be able to do it at no cost with ADP. When I sent our ADP contact the information, they said it would require a monthly cost per company/location and an initial fee.
ADP Workforce Now is by far a better product than Kronos.

Would you buy ADP Workforce Now again?

Yes

Sometime we do need to contact support a few times to get a response.
What ADP Workforce Now offers is very helpful. The drawbacks are how it functions from an IT perspective. The system can get bogged down and stop working. In order to correct these issues, I have had to clear my cookies and data on a daily basis then log in and out to have the program work.

COVID-19 Response

Having the resource available was very helpful.
We had nearly zero employees work remotely. Since, our business is grocery, we actually needed to hire more people during the pandemic. In recruitment having the access to other jobsite via ADP was something that stood out for me.
I took advantage of the webinars the most.
Yes, it has. We have been able to use the app to send out new COVID policies and push notifications.

Using ADP Workforce Now

900 - Retail Grocery and Foodservice
8 - Each store location has a bookkeeper that handles most items on ADP. Then at our corporate level we have our higher access level employees, including myself.
  • Updates on recruitment.
Since starting with ADP, our entire payroll and scheduling processes have inproved.

Evaluating ADP Workforce Now and Competitors

Yes - Kronos and Paychex
  • Product Features
  • Product Usability
  • Positive Sales Experience with the Vendor

ADP Workforce Now Implementation

Since we wanted to have everything up and running too quickly. We should have spent more time on training certain levels before roll out.
Change management was a minor issue with the implementation
  • On our end we tried to implement too fast.

ADP Workforce Now Training

  • Online training
  • in-person training
Overall it was fairly comprehensive.
I feel the online had better content. In person, was only 1 session about 2 hours long. Not much can be covered during that time. A few questions at the time could not be answered.

Configuring ADP Workforce Now

Our company is set up very differently than most. It was hard to fit ourselves in the ADP box. We are so used to it being the other way around. However, we managed to change our ways to adapt to ADP.
Smaller details that companies may have can most likely work for others.
Yes - we have customized the interface extensively - I love the change of the home page. It can be utilized so much better and easier to create items.
Yes - we have added extensive custom code - We have added a few pay codes to the system, due to Chicago Work Week laws.
Applications - having a favorite or bookmark. It can be difficult to search for them when you want to find out fast.

ADP Workforce Now Support

ProsCons
Quick Resolution
Good followup
Problems get solved
Support cares about my success
Not kept informed
Yes - Yes it was.
I needed to create a new PTO policy quickly during COVID-19 and we were able to do so.

Using ADP Workforce Now

Some items are pretty seamless while others are hard to understand.
ProsCons
Like to use
Relatively simple
Easy to use
Technical support not required
Well integrated
Consistent
Convenient
Feel confident using
Lots to learn
  • Schedules
  • Recruitment
  • An applicant cannot use the same email more than once to apply making it hard to hire in ADP
  • no ceiling cap for PTO
  • compensation events

ADP Workforce Now Reliability

Depending on how I request a service request I get better response. I prefer to use the Support option through workforcenow.
I have to open and close the program a lot during the day. If I open SASS and go back to workforce now, then workforcenow will not work correctly.
