Overall Satisfaction with ClickUp

I use ClickUp at work to manage complex projects involving development of list templates suited for specific types of projects. The main category of the majority of my projects is "waterfall" although I also run some "agile" projects. ClickUp functionalities support this requirement very well with a lot of flexibility to create custom fields, various views, gantt charts and dashboards. Also, ClickUp allows seamless collaboration amongst the team members where multiple members are working on the project at the same time. While it appears that the tools like ClickUp are more suited for software development projects, I have successfully used it for my Mechanical/Aerospace projects to deliver results systematically.

Collaboration and communication are ClickUp's capabilities that I appreciate the most. As a Project Manager I want to create a work breakdown structure and the list of tasks assigned to the team members and I expect them to be able to communicate amongst themselves to produce the deliverable and documentation. ClickUp facilitates that engagement very effectively by allowing automation and tagged comments on the tasks.
Team members have been able to engage productively using task comments, notifications and automation where possible to manage live workflows.
ClickUp is more user-friendly, collaborative, flexible and scalable as compared to the other tools I have used.

ClickUp is suited very well for collaborative projects needing live communication between team members.
It may be less useful where Gantt Charts are of key use. Unfortunately that has been a pain point for me as I need to use Gantt Charts consistently and I find there are opportunities for major improvements in that area.

Using ClickUp

6 - My organization has a varying number of ClickUp users, they are mainly Software Development Engineers working on the software side of the business. The other functions includes Project Management, Business Management, Quality Management, Communications Management and others.

ClickUp offers various powerful features that are very user-friendly and collaboration-friendly. That is my main reason for continuing to use ClickUp.
On the flip side I have major reservations about the Gantt Charts. I am the Project Manager and it was my idea to buy ClickUp for the business. Majority of my projects are based on waterfall methodology and it is very common for me to rely on Gantt charts to visualize planning. However the current Gantt Charts on ClickUp are limiting as compared to other views, especially without the ability to "group by custom fields".

Yes - I had seen some bugs while using Gantt charts. I reported them and I was asked for more evidence but the bugs were resolved before I could gather evidence
