Overall Satisfaction with Dropbox
We use it as our main tool for storage and sharing of documents related to projects and business processes, and capture and sharing of documents with external customers. Also to work on shared documents and review them. Additional uses include: sharing of large size documents internally and externally, synchronization of files for several apps, and to be able to access the same group of files and documents from different devices.
Pros
- Multiple options to share documents that are easy to use and work well
- Easily transfer large size documents.
- Best option to be able to access files from multiple types of devices: Macs, iPads, iPhones, and other devices.
- Track and recover documents versions.
- Upload documents from multiple sources.
Cons
- Better options to organize and be able to search for documents would be the main one.
- Better tools to be able to annotate and add comments to files.
- Improve functionality to work on shared documents using common apps like Office 365.
- Cost savings on physical storage
- Speed up business processes by allowing to always have access to data.
- Can be expensive when adding multiple users.
- OneDrive and Google Drive
Dropbox has better features overall than these alternatives.
