Overall Satisfaction with Miro

We use it for all kinds of stuff, especially for remote working. We have a lot of daily scrum & retrospective formats and use them for OKRs, Team Canvas sessions, creating story maps, product goals, etc. It's an ideal tool for working from home with your colleagues and using the digital whiteboards Miro offers.
  • It's a great solution for working hybrid.
  • It offers lots of easy templates to use.
  • It's easy to use Agile workflows in Miro.
  • Simply create story maps en roadmaps.
  • It can become a bit slow when working with a lot of users at the same time.
  • Sharing projects can be a bit difficult sometimes for new users.
  • The more people using the board, the more licences you'll need.
  • Improved productivity.
  • Created transparency.
  • It isn't the most cheap product to use.
The implementation went pretty smooth although I wasn't really involved with implementing the tool.
It's very to integrate Miro with other tools. Lately, we have been integrating it with Jira, Confluence, and Teams. All of this works pretty smoothly, to be honest. At this moment we can even create Jira tickets in our Miro boards and the other way around. Everyone is quickly getting used to these integrations.
It's a great tool and helped us a lot with collaborating on existing and new projects. We have some people working from the other side of the country or even abroad so working with Miro online works amazing for us. It creates a lot of transparency the way it's set up.
I wasn't involve with the selection process but I prefer Miro over MURAL because of the look & feel.

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

During Covid, it was absolutely great to use Miro for working hybrid. Even though we mostly returned to the office, we still use Miro on a daily basis. It's just very easy to use this instead of a physical board. Even during physical events, we often use Miro at the moment as our whiteboard. Sometimes it's difficult to learn for new users. There's so much to do in Miro.

Using Miro

  • In addition for working remote
  • Doing retrospectives
  • Use it for SCRUM boards
  • Facilitate meetings
  • Connecting it with JIRA and sync our boards 2 ways
  • Using it for themed meetings with a lot of fun
  • use Miro to gather public feedback and engage citizens in urban planning projects.
  • isualize and analyze data related to city demographics, infrastructure, and public services
I use it almost daily, so we'd really like to keep using it. We have a lot of users using it on a daily basis. For me, it is the best online whiteboarding tool with the best functionalities available on the market. Even though people start coming back to the office, we keep using the tool very often.

Evaluating Miro and Competitors

  • Integration with Other Systems
  • Ease of Use
It's very easy to use and easy to integrate with other systems. It's not needed to get an extended training to start using the tool, beginners can easily use it as well. It's also very handy that we can integrate it with tools like JIRA and Confluence to sync work.
I think we wouldn't change it
