Overall Satisfaction with Optimizely Web Experimentation

As an agency, we service many clients using Optimizely. Relying on Optimizely's strong experimentation capabilities, APIs, and program management makes our lives easier and the work we produce for our clients much stronger. Running at a high velocity, with great execution speed, and getting data back that we can trust allows us to deliver high-quality work.

  • More AI integrations.
  • Created a more innovative business.
  • Increased 'risk taking' due to the low risk environment it creates.
  • Higher velocity experimentation due to ease of use.
The ability to create different projects, add different people to these projects, have snippets/assets that work across these projects, and layer project management on top means there is very little that stops scaling safely.
It reduces the need to do manual calculations or have calculators open, the need to switch between screens, and the question of whether you can trust the data. The latter is probably the most important. If you can't trust the data, you can't trust the results. We've always been able to trust the data in Optimizely.
Optimizely is my favorite due to its ease of use and exceptional testing capabilities. It is not the cheapest tool, but the other tools that could be compared are not cheap—you get what you pay for. Some of the smaller tools are making gains, though!

Let's start with not well suited. As a market-leading tool, they are not the cheapest option available. This means that in some cases, we cannot recommend them to clients as we know they will fall out of their budget. We would recommend them for enterprise and medium—to large businesses as we know we can trust the tool and it comes with a wide range of functionality.
