Overall Satisfaction with Rippling

Rippling is our HRIS, ATS, hardware device & SSO management for our fully remote, rapidly growing organization.

If fully automates & streamlines processes throughout the employee lifecycle, allows us to easily process payroll and file payroll taxes with over 20 states easily, ensures legal compliance, integrates with nearly all of our programs & benefits partners, and serves as our 1 stop for HR needs. We continue to add modules are we scale to further simplify our processes and ensure automation.

Pros

  • Onboarding - from automatic notifications through shipping hardware & provisioning software
  • Payroll - from processing various states with various criteria through quarterly filing and self-auditing to catch and notify of any issues.
  • Offboarding - simply and seamlessly able to exit an employee, discontinue access and return hardware with a click of a button.

Cons

  • Announcements on product updates - it's great that things are continually being improved, but often it's without notice so day to day could look/feel different per module.
  • Stop with the banner ads - I don't need an add to set up an upsell on every single screen.
  • Stop calling EVERYONE an employee - although you can differentiate between "full time employees" and "contractors," they are not mutually exclusive, so often employees running reports or auditing do not realize they need to filter contractors out of the reports.
  • Easily saved hours of HR time with automations through the hiring/firing process.
  • Streamlines the entire org with SSO functionality, saving the company costs from having divergent systems
More automations, great price, great employee-interface, easy to add modules & make changes.
The chatbot is sometimes on the fritz, but you can always connect with a rep, and often via Zoom if needed.

Once you're used to the interface it's very easy to use, and you can navigate on your own through most of the set ups.
Well suited for easily adding new locations & states, which seamlessly are handled via payroll on the backend - all taxes, requirements & state compliance issues are easily handled by the system. Also for streamlining HR + Finance items + IT items all in once place with one automation.

Not sure we'll explore the Performance Management module as I like to stay with platforms that specifically handle that - I've found in the past the best HRIS that offer performance management usually do so because they've purchased a stand alone system to incorporate.
