Overall Satisfaction with ScienceLogic

ScienceLogic is being used across the whole organization to monitor our infrastructure which is SAP hosting. This monitors the infrastructure, operating system, and the SAP landscapes.
  • Variety of dynamic apps that come with the product.
  • Knowledge or their product.
  • Great UI design.
  • File system monitoring could be better. Cannot limit the file systems I want to monitor, have to grab them all and then hide them rather than being specific about which file systems I want to monitor. Like using regex for this would be great. The same goes for network interfaces on devices as well.
  • API is missing functions, can tell the UI does not use their API as things you can do in the UI cannot be done in the API. This is frustrating for integration work.
  • Push agent needs some work and would like to see the ability to add custom checks.
  • Allows knowing when our SAP landscapes are down so we may get them back up quickly so we don't miss our SLAs with our customers.
  • Pass the monitoring over to our customers as they just expect for monitoring to be there. So this allows us to meet our customer needs.
  • Allows us the ability to easily deploy new checks to all the collectors, which saves time for the engineers.
Yes - Whatup's Gold and Centerity to bring together a unified platform to monitoring our overall solution.
Allows us to see the overall picture of our solution rather then in piece because it is a unified platform.
As we grow with new off-site customers it's easy to deploy new collectors to build them into our solution. While on-premise we can just add another collector to our collector group if we need to based on load. The product allows us to scale as we need to based on customer demand.
We take advantage of SyncServer which does automate the ticket creation process so we limit the number of tickets being opened with our service desk for investigation.
Would use ScienceLogic specifically for the infrastructure layer but not inside the os and above.
