Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Slack for inter-company communication. This allows us to cut down on emails and meetings, saving time and allowing people to read and respond when they have the time during the work day. We also use Slack huddles for meetings when we need to have them. We use Slack every day!

Slack is very user-friendly and basically anybody can use! Both the mobile and desktop versions are very easy to figure out, no matter how well someone does with technology. We have not had anybody have issues with Slack yet and I don’t foresee that ever being a problem for us!

Alternatives Considered

Asana, Trello, Skype for Business, now part of Microsoft Teams, QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Online Advanced

Slack is a much better product, in my opinion! It’s much easier to use than other products, even though it may be similar enough. I would rather use it than any other product like Slack. Our team loves it and it integrates well with other apps like Asana or gmail.

Slack is well-suited for all scenarios within our company! Everybody loves using it and we have never had any problems with functionality or use. I can not think of a time that it would be less appropriate to use. The only area we don’t use it in our company is with client interactions.

2 - Communication between members of my organization, with different channels set up for different clients we need to discuss. It's so much better than trying to keep up with email communication. Having different threads allows us to have multiple conversations going at once without getting confused about who is talking about what.

2 - There are not many skills that are needed to support Slack because it's so easy to use! My employee and I use it on a daily basis, but we did not need any certifications or special skills to be able to set it up or use it. It is very user-friendly.
