A great tool for large teams with a need for easy task management and easy reporting and communication!
Overall Satisfaction with Wrike
It is currently used by our client services team to manage account tasks and have high-level reporting dashboards for our management team to review at a glance. We also use it to request specific tasks across other departments such as our data team and our analytics team.
Pros
- The ability to create custom dashboards makes it very easy to see the status of your tasks at a glance.
- It's great that you have the ability to not only assign people to tasks, but also to tag them in comments for easy follow-up, keeping everything in one place. No need for unnecessary emails!
- I love that you can create individual work spaces and projects within those spaces, with the option to create automatic tasks for specific types of projects, so every time a new project is created, the same type of tasks are automatically created.
Cons
- I'd like some additional options for filtering or organising my inbox based on topics, project, assignees, etc.
- Using Wrike has seriously reduced our time spent on emailing back-and-forth or filling out many different spreadsheets in order to have an overview or report, we now have it all in one place.
- The dashboards and to-do lists/tables make it easy to manage tasks so we don't let anything slip through the cracks, which helps us be more efficient and deliver better service to our clients.
Wrike has made our task management a lot simpler than our previous system, Asana. The ability to create custom dashboards makes it easy to keep track of work, and the reporting systems makes it easy for management to get clear overviews without needing to reach out to each employee for updates.

Wrike Feature Ratings
Using Wrike
40 - Client success team uses Wrike to make requests to our Data Insertion team, Design team, and Web team, we also use it for internal task management and for cadence reports (i.e. so management teams can have an overview of their whole team's project status at a glance). We also implemented "escalation" steps that are automated when tasks have been delayed by a pre-specified period of time.
4 - We have two team members that are "Power users" who helped in the initial set-up of the business logic for each task flow and duration, as well as for the onboarding and training of new members. Then we have two managers who oversee the status reports and provide general reports to the commercial team as a whole to give an overview of where there are areas of opportunity and action points needed.
- Cross-departmental requests
- Status reports and progress tracking
- Individual task management
- Clear communication (i.e. avoiding back-and-forth emails, simply create subtasks and add comments with tags to contributors directly on the task)
- Team management has been simplified (especially for smaller teams, such as task assignation for our group of interns)
- Sub-folders and archive function have helped keep track of developments for individual accounts (beyond what is tracked in our CRM system).
- The Knowledge Base options (FAQ, etc.) has been really useful as a way to document processes and changes so newcomers can catch-up quickly without needing extensive training
- As a sort of "Intranet" for documentation
- For extensive reporting through the dashboard system
