Overall Satisfaction with Xactly Incent

Xactly Incent is being used to calculate Sales Representatives' Commissions payout worldwide. It also helps us to generate all the Compensation Plans, such that the Sales Reps can access them and their managers can approve them through the system.
  • It's really easy for all sales employees to check their Incentives Statement, even manager can check all the information about their team.
  • It's great for generating compensation plans and managers can easily approve them in the system.
  • It's really easy to make any quota or other personal information updates when needed.
  • Visually it doesn't look so good, looks a bit outdated, so I really hope that the coming update makes it better.
  • About the compensation plans, it would be good to have an option to download all the available plans, right now you can just download them one by one.
  • Better control on all the Commissions Calculations.
  • Better visibility and transparency for sales reps about their Commissions Calculation.
  • It helps to save time on quota and personal information updates.
I'm not really in charge of that, but I assume this is being used by Revenue Ops and FP&A.
Right now we use other tools for that purpose, maybe in the future we can what Xactly offers.
All the information flows from Salesforce to Xactly, so we don't need to worry a lot of missing something.
Revenue Operations uses the plans to accomplish their goals, also some information is obtained by IT, but Finance is the one that is getting more benefits.
We used Obero in the past, Incent is so much better.

It's great for any company who want to have a better control on their commissions payouts.

Using Xactly Incent

200 - Basically it's used by all the sales representatives to check their statements and it's also used by Revenue Operations and Finance.
4 - Basically Finance is who takes care about anything related to Xactly and we also have IT to help us in case we need it. The skills required for supporting Incent were basically acquired with the initial training provided.
  • Calculation of all Commissions payout worldwide.
  • Generation of Compensation Plans.
  • Sales representatives can check their Commissions calculation.
  • Forecasting maybe.
It's such a great product, it has been really useful for the company, it's so friendly and you can make updates really fast.

Evaluating Xactly Incent and Competitors

Yes - We used Obero in the past, which never actually worked correctly, it was just like an Excel spreadsheet. We wanted to automate the process and make it more user friendly.

The decision was not mine, but from what I know we were looking for the best product available to calculate Commissions and we found Xactly. We investigated a lot and looks like Xactly has a great reputation and then when we saw the product it looked like a really helpful tool.
I think we won't change anything.

Xactly Incent Implementation

I would say 10, but even when the implementation looked good, after some time we found that there were some issues that we were not able to notice during the implementation.
Yes - Don't remember the exact phases, but basically we first had some meeting to explain the way we calculate commissions, then the Xactly team prepared a demo. We had a week of training and then UAT took place, after testing basically we checked all the details and accepted the project.
  • Not a lot of issues, just maybe the fact that our Commissions Calculation is a bit weird in some cases.

Xactly Incent Training

It was great, good explanations and good training material provided, we were able to get a really good idea of how to use the system. I also think that it was enough time to learn how to setup the system.

Really easy and it has a lot to offer.

Xactly Incent Support

Support is great, but sometimes they take a bit more time than what we would like to and also sometimes we need to explain the issue more than one time, but overall it's great, they're really responsive.

Quick Initial Response
Yes - It was actually solved really fast.
We were having issues with terminations for Managers and Sales Engineer, which should receive prorated commissions to their termination date. The system was not calculating that correctly, the support team told us that it was due to the fact that some rules were not assigned to their plans and that actually solved the issue. It was an easy fix but we were not able to detect it before, and the support team did it really fast!!

Xactly Incent Reliability

It's a great system and has a lot to offer to the user.
It's basically always available, no unplanned outages or important errors.
Sometimes it takes a bit of time to load pages but not a big deal.

No issues with integration for us.

As it was flawless for us, I don't think I have any advice.

  • I think an upgrade is coming soon so we're waiting for it.
