I believe BambooHR is well suited for companies that like a simple, easy-to-use platform. As a first-time HRIS user, it has been very easy to implement and utilize. We got great support for implementation, but we have at times felt a little on our own when we've had small issues we've asked for help on. Overall, we are thrilled with the addition of BambooHR to our company tools.

VidCruiter is best suited for those that want to be paperless and go the digital route. VidCruiter gives the option to record the live interviews so they remain on the platform if we ever need to go back to review. In my opinion there is not a scenario where this is not appropriate, because if you don't see a function of interest, VidCruiter will consider creating it or figure a way to make it happen for you

  • The Applicant Tracking System is pretty good. Has a couple flaws but over all it's a really great module.
  • The HR management system works really well and we love how much we can customize things we need.
  • The Reporting feature is one of my favorite things about BambooHR. I can create any report I want and I love that.

  • VidCruiter is my first Applicant Tracking System but it was still relatively easy to set up exactly to our needs and there was lots of support over email and the phone / internet meetings during the setup and after. It is easy to use and update too, no coding ability needed.
  • The integrated video and live interviews are unique to VidCruiter and why we chose it over competing products. They are easy to setup and use and provide the HR staff with a much more personal feeling for who the applicants are.
  • The auto rating of the applicants and their references along with the easy rating of applicant video interviews and any other data entered sorts applicants after what abilities are important to your company and makes it easy to start with the most suited candidates and work your way down.

  • The performance feature is a little clunky and not adjustable, so I would love to have more customizable options.
  • When a candidate signs an offer letter, it would be great if it could show up under the documents tab. Right now, it gets a little buried.

There's nothing wrong with this platform. I would recommend it to any business starting with more than 10 employees. I will continue to use the program for as long as I need to, hoping they continue being tremendous and finding other ways to incorporate more technology.

This is our first season of using VidCruiter or any ATS. We are very happy with the time saved and level of organization and clarity that using VidCruiter has provided. We have a ton of ideas for improvements for the next season, and the flexibility of the system, the easy setup and maintenance and the very responsive support from VidCruiter makes this easy.

Yes, there is a huge team in the back of the online platform or it looks like it because I have never been left without an answer when I have a question or waiting from a response on my chat .... There must be a huge team, this is so great and I always seem to have someone that is very knowledgeable too. So many times in the past I had to leave with customer service that would connect you with someone else because of the expertise, here everyone seems to be some kind of an expert in the HR function.

I love BambooHR. Reports are easy to run and download and it usually covers any types of requests I get from the management team. You get excel or .csv downloads/reports and it is fast and simple, not too crowded so it is easy to read through. We don't integrate the tool yet but again, soon we will. we just did not had the time to utilize it yet but that's the plan.

As far as I can recall, everything went well with doing it online and got questions answered. Was thankful to work with a dummy file to get used to some practices prior to getting our own domain within bamboo to then place our personnel information in the system, this helped a lot!

Implementation Rating

We implemented bambooHR in Fall, 2023 then implemented Payroll 1/1/24. A vital piece of information was not known or missed in that we are exempt from State Unemployment Tax and have a Reimbursement Set-up, so bambooHR did not send Payroll Reports to the State. Those reports need to be sent regardless if we are exempt or not.

BambooHR is much better. I often found TriNet had limited info and tools. We did not bother using it for timesheets or time off requests because it was just too annoying. It was also annoying to navigate. Many links to resources took you off the website. Bamboo includes everything within the platform and makes it easy.

We selected VidCruiter over Spark Hire mostly because of the ability to edit rubrics. In a world where equity is at the top, we must be able to rate candidates in a non-biased way and being able to edit the rubrics allows us to do so. We also through customer service was top notch at VidCruiter and decided to keep using it (we considered switching to Spark Hire at one point)

Contract Terms and Pricing Model

Since my organization has dropped with employees, I always find ways to reduce costs. I thought there would be a cheaper option, but I was glad that my package included a lot for the price, and downgrading would cost more. The rep could have let me downgraded and taken me to a higher package. I am thankful that didn't happen.

There is so much you can do with this platform, it is incredible and so welcoming. We don't utilize it 100% yet just because we are growing and the HR team has not been able to concentrate on other areas offered to us but but we will soon. Which is also why we got the product, specifically because what BambooHR can do to help us meet our growing business needs.

  • Gave more time back to HR, Directors, and Managers by providing options for easy reports and a place to have all the information.
  • PTO! This has given so much time back to accounting as they no longer have to manually calculate PTO and it's also allowed our team to feel more comfortable to take time off by having an official way to ask off and see what their balances are.
  • Onboarding and offboarding: this has helped HR with the many many tasks of helping team members come onboard as well as when they leave a company.
  • Professionalism: the ability to create forms and has stepped up our game for new hires and even tracking things we have needed our team to fill out!
