In all honestly I don’t know a situation where Ceridian Powerpay would not be appropriate to use. I have used it at a company with 12 employees, and at a company with 100 employees. The system works great regardless of company size and the benefits significantly outweigh any (if any) negatives.
I only have experience with the system in the hospitality industry but it covered all our needs and more that I can only imagine that would apply to other industries as well.

Isolved is great with payroll and payroll changes as well as onboarding. Our benefit open enrollment went well and for the most part was stress free, there were a few hiccups with our 3rd party supplemental insurances. Because of their complexity and they way they are processed through payroll there was a little confusion and things needed to be adjusted. But due to the flexibility of the system the issues didn't become big problems.
Read full review Pros Ceridian Powerpay simplifies the payroll process, very little manual work involved during each payroll run. Ceridian Powerpay is mostly an intuitive interface with easy to understand workflows to allow for multiple users to be able to use the system if required. Employee Information (accurate reporting of the data, easily viewable information, information presented in a streamlined fashion). Read full review Cons Customer Support is Horrible They over bill you for everything and ignore cancellation requests They don't listen to what you need or want, they slip in cancellation clauses and charge you for inactive employees throughout the year. They leave one person in charge of your account and should that person go on leave you are stuck waiting until that person gets back (including personal leaves that lasted 2 months) Read full review More reminder notifications would be great! A way to email hiring managers and our IT department at the same time with a template would save us from so much email communication Transfer all attached documents such as interview notes from iHired applicants to isolved employee documents would save us time uploading into multiple places Read full review Likelihood to Renew
Due to the continued problems (time clock disconnects, regular post-update issues) and users' negative attitude, we are unlikely to renew. Another important factor is that TF is US-centric, so it does not account for local Philippine specifics, which is important to us.

I think the program is easy to use as an admin and as an employee. There is training modules and documents you can use, plus they are available if needed. The employees have access to their profile from their phone without having to download an app.

Payroll due dates and send to us at the beginning of the year, with email reminders for holidays. The support email address is fairly fast, within 24-48 hours. But if something is needed immediately, I can just call and they help me out right then.

We do not use the integration, so we have a csv file that I upload manually for payroll. That is our decision based on the software at our restaurants. Pages loaded fairly quickly, but reports to pdf lag about 15-20 seconds

Powerpay support is strong, with the edge given to the telephone staff, which is prompt and always helpful. When I have had to reach out via telephone, I am greeted quickly and provided with a quick resolution to my issue. The email support leaves a bit to be desired, though, as my experience with change requests result in long waits for confirmation and completion, with some instances not even being given a resolution to an issue without requiring additional follow-up. I shouldn’t have to stay on top of the support in addition to providing the details needed, and it should just get done.

We recently canceled our contract with Isolved and moved to Paychex. One thing to consider is that if you leave isolved all access to your data ends 30 days after termination of the contract. Not a big deal for me since I have the reports and data I need, but it is also terminated for your employees to access pay stubs or old w2s. If you want to keep access it is $250 per month. It seems strange that they can hold your data hostage and they wouldn't just allow employees to have access to their pay stubs and other information they may need months after a change in payroll companies.

All over the phone, but it was comprehensive.

Training was done in stages. First how to onboard and input information, then how to import and process payroll. Any additional help needed was just a phone call away. Later we switch to employee self-onboarding, and we had an extra training there for the managers to send the initial emails to the new employees.

The system was very cumbersome setting up as well as time consuming. There were times I just wanted to walk away and sometimes I did have to get up and walk away for a break and come back with a fresh perspective. The setup took me over a period of two to three months getting it to serve the purposes that we needed it two. I am very intuitive when it comes to computer software however getting all the right buttons checked in order for it to do what I needed didn't always work.

Have not used any other payroll software in my experience.

I went with iSolved because the people I spoke with were all quick to answer and very thorough in their responses. I knew they could help me build my setup the way I wanted it, and not just force me to work within some pre-set parameters once I had signed the contract.

We are a company of about 135 people at 9 locations in 2 towns. We were able to set locations and departments, and also have each location seperate so only that manager can see their employees.
Read full review Return on Investment The return on investment has been substantial for our company. Having a payroll system that calculates everything for you, processes important documents, and only takes minimal time and effort allows us to focus more time on running the business and generating revenue. Instead of having a user spend half a day (or potentially a full day) processing payroll, it only takes a couple hours (obviously depending on how many employees need to be processed). Read full review When we had Paycom, we had 1/4 of our staff that were not logging in and using the system. That number is down to maybe 5% now Employees love having the ability to easily view and verify their timecards prior to payroll submission. Read full review ScreenShots
