ClickUp is more customizable than any of these other apps that I have worked with. Asana is great, but it has some serious limitations if you are working with a team, including assigning multiple people to a task. The pricing is also much better than the other options.

It's simplified literally everything in my life across all domains. There really isn't any situation I've ever found where I haven't suggested someone to start using ClickUp instead of their current workflows, whether that's basic iPhone apps they're using, or expensive tools they are already paying for. The only scenarios where it hasn't made sense to do it is for people running businesses that rely on integrated platforms for all business management; not that it's not a good fit, but things like integrated billing and map routers or invoice generators embedded in an existing software sometimes lock it out. But for everything else, be it work, school, sports, daily life, I probably pull 1-2 people over to ClickUp every week!
I like that it allows for a seamless transition of calls between our 2 offices. I don't have to forward or un-forward phones at the beginning and end of my day. Our offices are on a specific schedule which opens the phone lines at a certain time, transfers them to another office at another time, and then sends them to an after hours number when we close. I also like how easy it is to change settings within our different departments and contact centers. It's a very well-rounded program that is easy to use on your computer or phone.
My work involves projects of 5-15 people with numerous projects running simultaneously. Prior to Zoho, I did not have a central location from which to view all project statuses at once. Zoho looks to provide this and also looks like it will deliver. I am anxious to see how our organization's use of it develops. At this time, I feel I am likely to recommend Zoho Projects because my organization has made great software decisions in the past so I have a level of trust already that the research has been done that Zoho is the best solution for our line of work.
Customization is huge for us! We do not have the aspects of standard project management, so having the ability to customize basically everything in ClickUp is amazing.
An outstanding free version of the software! We are a small nonprofit organization that cannot afford the robust levels of other software, so having access to SO MUCH for free is incredible.
The layout and organization of tasks, Spaces, folders, etc. is perfect. I love how I can see which task all of my subtasks belong to on my dashboard. And the option to change colors and icons for everything also really appeals to my obsessive brain.
We use it to manage our sales orders as there are lots of moving parts which are necessary to get client orders done properly.
I use it anytime I have a new idea I want to put into motion. As I can create a list for brainstorming, feedback, specific actions necessary in order to test and or implement the idea.
Unrelated to business, it's a great way to plan travel in order to make sure you don't forget those important things like passport, flight arrangement, client meeting confirmation, and meeting prep as far as what specific documents or things do you need to bring with you.
And since everyone is on the go and expected to keep up with work, the mobile/tablet app makes it a breeze to keep up, work on, and create new projects.
The only example I can list for improvement is that occasionally the message has some mistranslation(s). But I can usually figure out the missing words. The 'southern USA' dialect may be partly to blame....
The functionality is really great. It is the best app I have used for messages in all of my customer service jobs.
It has been a game-changer in terms of project tracking, as animation is a demanding product that requires multiple layers of analysis, revisions, tracking, scheduling, etc. ClickUp simplifies many approvals as anyone can easily add items, and you can tag the people who need to look at them.
Dialpad Talk is easy to use and no one has had a problem using it. Even when we have had questions/problems we have been able to fix it ourselves without having to go to Dialpad to ask for help, which saves everyone time. We don't have any reason to cancel our use of this product and we are very happy with how it performs for our team.
I've reviewed about 8 other project management solutions and Zoho Projects is the best I've seen without being overly complicated. Zoho Projects keeps getting better! Recent new enhancements makes it even easier to navigate. There are new keyboard shortcuts that cut my time way down. The tools are very easy to use.
In general, I think the usability is probably great. The reason I didn't give it as high of a score is because at the last 2 companies I worked at, they each used different software. So I was already used to those. Learning their UI isn't hard, but always a little annoying to learn something new.
Overall, it is quite user-friendly and quick to set up, even for beginner levels. It is also easy to onboard new hires and get them to take calls quickly. The main complaint is that the analytics are difficult to find, gather, and interpret.
Zoho Projects is an easy project management tool to use. It provides all the functionality that we required for handling projects. We can easily create personal forms for projects and tasks, allowing us to add and report on our own desire. Apart from this we can create and edit documents in real time which saves our time. This allows us to share text docs, presentations, tables with the whole team and we can work on them together
For over a year ClickUp was unavailable to us just twice for a couple of hours. I would say for a system this big and working globally that was a minor issue. They managed to fix all the issues within a couple hours and then it was back up and running perfectly fine.
There have not been any outages that I am aware of and we have had consistently good coverage since the start. There can be a slight lag from the office to the mobile app, but it is not terribly noticeable and it has not resulted in any calls being prematurely hung up
The speed of ClickUp is average to be honest. This is one of the biggest flaws of the system, sometimes it's also lagging a little bit but we also have a lot of documents, lists etc. on our workspace. However, with the next version of ClickUp I've seen they are planning to increase the speed by almost 500%, probably by changing the technology, so I am more than looking forward to it.
The emails of voice transcription come very quickly after a call has been completed and except for a few fairly difficult names are pretty accurate. The ability to quickly listen to the voicemail from email without having to open the app is also a bonus. I have not noticed or heard of any slowdowns
I started using ClickUp when it was what most would consider a baby company. There were the occasional bugs that made working in ClickUp a little bit of a headache, but the support feature allowed me to chat with a real persona and communicate my issues. I would always get prompt support and someone willing to really help me, not just point me to FAQ pages. Not feeling like a number really makes a difference.
The original date for roll-out, was unable to happen because there was an issue finding our existing phone lines to port them... The only reason I gave a 9 is [that] the original person we have been working with, Rolled out phones. Pro without telling anyone and then went on vacation, I only say this to explain that there is a gentleman that took over to help us named Brett and he was FANTASTIC! He allowed a ton of calls and answered all of them, walked us [through] settings, profile set up, and even emailed screen shares so we could help other members of our team! Although it might lack intuitiveness, once you get a hang of how Zoho Projects works, you can do a LOT. The impact good project management has on profitability is huge, and it has helped not only improve communication and coordination when working on a project, but more importantly have adequate tracking of time, due dates and potential bottle necks
There are multiple guides on literally all of the functions you can find within the system, therefore it's easy to learn anything you'd really like to use, starting from project and people management, down to Gantts, mind maps, time tracking, inviting Clients as guests to work with you on the projects and so much more.
Simple and easy to follow, we had our branches around the country to be trained and the feedback was great. Only take if there was a desk phone training that would be great. The team provided us with video for the desk phone training
Start small. Don’t try to build the most elaborate plans first. Resist the urge to get into Gantt charts if no one is used to them. Just get work written, add dates and assignees, and start getting used to it. If you did not use a work management tool before, you need to be gracious with yourself about the fact that you likely do not have the muscle memory for working this way yet. But you will get there.
And leverage people who know it if possible. Look for ClickUp experts and vendors. They can really supercharge your effectiveness at building the tool out and speed up the process.
For me the customizability of ClickUp was unmatched. It really felt like there was no limit on what I could use it for and how I could organize things. For specific features, their Docs are really my favorite part. The customizability and ability to directly link to related tasks/docs/etc. is incredible. The closest I've found to it is Notion, but Notion is not as user friendly and doesn't offer all of the other capabilities that ClickUp does. When I first started using ClickUp, their pricing played a huge factor too. I thought their pricing was the most reasonable given the number of capabilities it came with. However, that's definitely changed over the years. They have a bad habit of moving certain functionalities from one tier up to a higher one. Or they put a one-time usage limit on a certain feature and once it runs out, you're forced to upgrade. Their pricing has become less competitive because of it
Panterra is dependable and has good support. Dialpad Connect has more features and an easier interface. AT&T has a lot of features, but Dialpad Connect's interface is easier. AT&T does not do call transcription that I know of. Comcast BVE and 8x8 services are lower quality and service is not great.
Zoho Projects provides a more limited set of functionality and customization options than other task/bug trackers on the market, but what it lacks in functionality it makes up for in ease of use. It probably has 80-90% of the features of its competitors but takes about a third of the time to get up and running and realizing value.
Overall program is of average cost. SInce I use it simply for its phone/text capabilities. I would hazard that company that needed more options, might see it differently
Scaling with ClickUp is superb. If you create a workflow best suited for your organization then it's all about creating new accounts and teaching the new employees the workflow you're using. It's that simple. There is no black magic when it comes to Clickup.
So far, Dialpad has been a great improvement for our organization. It allows everyone to be on the same service and the integration with the mobile app means everyone is still using the "office" numbers even when on the go which makes it easier not having to balance multiple phone numbers from people
Allow us to provide reports and updates via computer to leadership.
Leadership in our organization have praised IT for the use of ClickUp because the tool is exactly what was needed. Before, we were depending on spreadsheets to keep track of work.
ClickUp brings organizatins together in ways that other software has not. It provides everything we lacked and needed to get out organization up to the standard as other large universities.
We needed a system to organize our growing business, so anything was better than what we had, which was nothing.
Recording time spend is a huge reason for using project software. It has made me aware of the tasks that are taking too long and where we are not being profitable as a company.
It has kept our team accountable for what needs to get completed and when projects are not in motion or completed timely. It's helpful to know in order to get billing out faster.
