Overall Satisfaction
Pros
- Task assignment and time tracking for project and service work by customer.
- Specifically, we set up clients as distinct projects and use the milestones, task lists, and tasks to manage deliverables. Zoho allows us to track time per task and generate invoices
- Generates easy report to create invoices.
Cons
- There is no differentiation between a task’s duration (ie, budgeted hours) and due date. These are linked in Zoho Projects, which is fairly useless for a project management tool.
- I don’t believe we can add custom fields to tasks, only to bugs (which we don’t use). This is a major weakness.
- Low cost for a tool that we are able to generate bills for all hours worked per customer as well as track staff utilization.

Evaluation and Selection
Unfuddled
We have also evaluated Clarizen and although it's a good product, we are not quite ready to scale up to this yet.
Implementation
- Implemented in-house
Training
- Self-taught
Configuration
We added custom field to the CRM - very easy to do. We added a custom field for bugs, but we don’t actually use it. There is no difference for us between tasks and bugs, in terms of how they are handled internally (staffed and assigned and executed in the same way). So it’s not useful to have the separate ‘bug’ list – actually adds work to have to look in two places for open issues.
Support
No - Have not needed.

Vendor Relationship
There are free and low cost versions that be done on a trial basis and then downgraded. I would suggest trying at most you would be charged for only one month if you choose to downgrade.
